A great tool for real time glucose monitoring and excellent customer service.
Being T2 diabetic and after an increase in my blood glucose for no apparent reason the subject of a glucose monitor was discussed with my doctor. As a result I purchased one of these Freestyle Libre2 units. It was very straightforward to fit and there was no pain at all. It was easy to link it to the app on my iPhone. However, the first day I wore it it kept sending an error message. It would work for a short period and then again the error message. At the end of the day it gave up and the message basically said it had failed. At first I thought I had been seen off but I read through the documentation and found the information to have it replaced. It involved uploading Somme information from the sensor and the error codes from the app. Within a few days I got aa replacement which I was quite impressed with. So again I fitted the device and this time it worked continuously for 15 days as intended. I didnt compare the readings with any other devices as my main interest was how different foods affected may levels. I found some very interesting things from foods that I would expect to be beneficial really spiking my glucose and things I expected to cause a spike hardly registering. I now have 15 days of graphs with notes to show my doctor but more importantly I have learnt lessons about how I react to things and can now manage that more. This isnt the end of the story by any means and I will repeat this again when I have my test results. So a very useful device to assist in monitoring blood glucose in real time and despite the first device failing soon the first day the service form the suppliers was first class in getting a replacement to me very quickly.

Fit and delivery
I couldn't obtain a replacement from our surgery, I couldn't really afford it but I bought and was very happy, it also had skins which cover the sensor Sadlyy sensor stopped after 6 days, but I'm sure the company will either reimburse or refund payment

Expensive, unrustworthy, unreliable, inaccurate and totally brilliant.
A somewhat mixed review. These things are not accurate. You can not use them for medication, so essentially for information only. It is helpful if you have a trustworthy instrument to check your blood sugar accurately. Sometimes they are accurate, sometimes very inaccurate. That is why you need an instument to check the monitor before believing it. At night time it can give misleading low readings should you lie on it, so before you panic, get up and move around a bit, or check with a real meter. Sometimes they can be erratic and give significantly different readings within a few seconds (where your blood glucose has had no time to change). Sometimes they just over or under read which can be dealt with. Sometimes they just fail and the system gives an error and its game over for that sensor. Call or email the maker and I have had no problem getting sesors replaced for failing or for reading bad values. After that, you must wonder why anyone would touch them. Well, they give such a detailed insight into what is going on with your blood glucose levels. You can get similar detail with a prick meter, but you will be using 30 tests a day and have fingers like pin chushions (so you are never going to do it and it would end up costing more anyway). I am not sure how many tests an hour these do but they provide as much detail as you will ever want, and you dont forget to do a test. With the reader I only have to make sure that I collect results every 8 hours to avoid missing data (and I want to read it way more often than that). I dont know what the apps do but assume it is similar. I think any newly diagnosed diabetic should get one to see what is going on with whatever they eat, and if like me you want to do away with diabetes by dieting, then you want to see the effect on you of all the food you eat (rather than what it says in the book). The first hand experience with one of these monitors sets you up to understand and deal with your condition and diet. I have my blood sugar under control, such that I know what I am doing well enough with two readings a day, so dont actually need one of these, but still every once in a while I want one just to see for sure what is going on with the all foods that I eat, in more detail than a few spot readings with my accu-chek. If you want to remedy type 2 diabetes by getting your diet under control, then these are extremely motivating. Not only the view of what your blood sugar is doing minute by minute, but a lot of averages and different cuts of the data that give a sensitive view of your progress over days weeks and months. Hopefully one day soon these will become cheaper and more accurate and reliable.

This is the best way to check one’s blood sugar without ever having to prick your finger ever again.

Sensor broke after 8 days
It's very good, pretty accurate, easy to use and no need for bluetooth or internet once it's set up. I'm only giving 3 stars because the sensor broke after 8 days
