Good quality piece of kit
Chose this one from many others. From the picture I 'guessed' this was well made. Turns out I was right.Nicely made and reasonably easy to use - I'm getting the knack of tightening it. Finger tight is not enough and if you are not careful the blade/iron can move and be positioned inaccurately. A third hand would be helpful but 60 years working have taught me to be dexterous and I can make either hand hold things together.I think I will modify it to have a small tommy bar so that I can fully tighten without a screwdriver.I would think that this IS one of the best and at the price it is excellent. I thought my cutting edges were sharp but this has helped me get the best edge yet.Buy one.

Good tool for the price but will not accomodate all chisels
Well made honing guide, but half of my chisels have a steep taper from cutting tip to tang and the guide will not hold them - they twist to one side My chisels with a lesser taper hold securely

Fantastic for the price.
Great value for money. Makes sharpening much easier and better results than doing by hand.Works really well on tapered profile chisels. Not so well on square profile chisels.Photos show the great results when sharpening with this, a sheet of glass, some 80 grit Emery paper some 400grit wet and dry and some 2400 wet and dry.Much cheaper than whetstones.Angle set by distance from the jig which is simple and quick. The wheel is just a close fit to an axel. Not bearings, bit it works fine because you apply a constant vertical pressure.Screw head makes it easy to nip up so the chisel doesn't shift.I think a quick flat file on a few parts will make it accept my other chisels well. For the price, I cannot complain.

Doesn’t accommodate flat edged chisels
This feels like a well made product but it will only work if your chisels are bevelled to a fine edge along their length. The De Walt chisels I put in here have a flat edge and so cannot find a seat in the notches along the sides of the guide. This means you cannot get the chisel sat straight and level and therefore cannot grind perpendicular to the blade edge with any consistency. Either I replace all mychisels or find another guide. Not happy.

Handy bit of kit
Well made product that has worked well with all my chisels so far. Took a couple of passes to figure out the best way to set it up but now I’ve figured it out, it’s great

Great product, but not best suited to my cheap generic chisels
Works okay but better suited to chisels with a full side bevel. My chisels have side bevels but with a part vertical bit as well. This stops the chisel sitting properly in the holding groove of the honing guide. I've managed to overcome this by setting the chisel across the retainer bars instead. This does the job. Probably works really well with the right chisels, but mine are cheap diy store own brand chisels. Still got a really good even angle but just have to spend a bit more time on the setup and regularly checking the chisel hasnt shifted while sharpening.

Be prepared to modify
So I had to modify its flatness with a file as my plain iron didn’t sit flush. But value for money isn’t bad
