I live on the west coast of Florida and am constantly buying different lights for my hurricane kit. I got this just before Milton landed and I’m so happy with the purchase. The amount of light is great and the battery lasts a long time - I made it though 6 days without power and didn’t have to change them once. Definitely recommend.

These lights are made of a hard plastic. I bought for power outages and they work great. Kids can carry them around. Very bright and last a long time.

This is a brilliant lamp. It is exactly as advertised. There are no hidden flaws and no unpleasant surprises. It works exactly like they say it will.The greatest thing about this lamp is the unlimited applications in which it can be useful. I'll tell you my experience.This is the solution I have been looking for! I have a very anxious senior foster dog who gets very scared and disoriented at night. When he wakes up startled and scared he will wander around until he sees me. He is deaf so it doesn't help to reassure him verbally, he has to be able to see me. I was having to either turn a light on every time he startled awake, or leave a light on all night. Neither of those options were working very well.This night light made a difference the very first night. I put the light on the lowest setting and turned it to the automatic sensor mode. Every time the dog stirred the light was on immediately for him. He could simply look up to see me and then lay his head back down to go back to sleep immediately. Then the light would go out and I could rest easy that if I heard something I didn't have to check and see if it was him. My sleep got a lot better.The instructions do say to give it a minute to get calibrated the first time you turn it on. At first I was worried that it wasn't working, but after the first minute it worked brilliantly. Definitely test it out in a darker room for the best results.Remember this does take batteries as its only power option. I don't know yet how long it will last on the lowest setting. This would work great as an emergency or camping lantern. The only limitation is that it is not small.I would consider putting this outside my tent while camping so if something is moving around outside the light can come on automatically. I would find that very comforting.This lantern deserves five stars. It works very well. The sensor is sensitive and works immediately every time. I found it very convenient even for myself when I had to get up in the middle of the night.
