Something different for secret santa!
This is a great gift idea for anyone really although perhaps aimed more at dads being that its called a "Dad Joke" button. The jokes are alright (150 in total), and clearly spoken by an English speaker. They are also suitable for all ages as far as I can tell. Battery is included and is replaceable if you can find a little crosshead screwdriver. We're going to leave this on the bar in our garden pub as a little extra but this is perfect as an inexpensive gift.

If you give people a button to press . . . . they will press it
This is quite an amusing thing after all we all love to press a button (particularly if it says Don't Press. I feel they missed a trick there). These Jokes as you might expect are terrible which is clearly the whole point. For some reason listening to the voice, it rather reminded of Jeremy Clarkson which I also found amusing. The one thing I felt let this down and the reason I knocked a star off was because it did not leave any time between the joke and the punchline, a few seconds to think about it would make this much better.Good thing but £8.00 at the time of this review might be a bit pricy for a silly stocking filler. After all I am old and I could fill the tank of my car with petrol for that back in the good old days.

So (wonderfully) terrible
Omg so so terrible, like truely the worst cracker jokes you've ever heard... Its bloody brilliant and my 8yr loves it.. She loves a good 'bad' joke and this button literally hits it. 😂😂😂You'll be groaning in disparity at the jokes, I would so recommend if you've got someone who loves to annoy their partner with bad jokes. Buy this now, run don't walk.

Perfectly terrible jokes in quite a well made little gizmo
The jokes in this little box are absolutely terrible… and that’s exactly what Dad jokes should be.There’s something compelling about slapping the button to get another terrible joke out. 150 jokes is enough to avoid it getting repetitive, and it’ll take a long time before you’ve gotten bored of all 150 of them, so there’s plenty of life in this. The hardware is actually better than I expected. There’s a nice satisfying mechanical “big yellow buzzer” response to pressing it, and it’s durable enough to withstand being slapped hard by kids- or even thrown on the floor in frustration by kids who really don’t approve of the jokes. The sound quality of the joke recordings is really quite good, and they come across quite clearly, with none of the 8-bit sonic horror that novelty electronic devices normally have.Generally the jokes are around the 7-year-old-ish age level, and I’ve yet to encounter anything rude or confusing. There’s a hint of Americanism in a couple of the jokes I’ve heard so far- for example, “why was the MATH book so sad?” rather than “maths” book (... “because it had too many problems” if you’re wondering). Even the voice artist involved seems a little bit embarrassed at the quality of some of the punchlines at times (“just let out a little wine”), but for the most part I really like the mostly deadpan delivery, which is the best way to deliver Dad jokes. It takes 2 AAA batteries, which are already included, you only have to pull a little protective tab out and it’s ready to go, which is great, and ideal when you want to get straight to the jokes without faffing about with batteries. In a way it’s a shame this device isn’t reprogrammable, and you can’t add your own recordings. If you could replace the inbuilt sound recordings with a variety of your own MP3’s or equivalent, I can think of a dozen potential different uses for this sound triggering machine, both novelty ones and more practical ones (for adding sounds to a model railway for example). There are lots of groans to be had from this- easily enough to cover the current eight quid asking price.

A Laugh a Minute with the Dad Joke Button
I got my dad the Dad Joke Sound Button for the birthday, and it’s been a total hit with the whole family. It’s got a whopping 150 jokes, so it’s perfect for any party or gathering. You never know what kind of cringe-worthy laughs you’re gonna get. The button is super easy to use, and it even comes with batteries, so you don’t have to worry about that. And the best part? The jokes are all randomized, so each time we use it, they’re fresh and exciting. The gift box was also really nice, and it made the whole thing feel extra special. It’s been a great way to add some laughter to our family dinners and game nights.

Fab dad present!
This is such a fun little gift for children to give their dad at Christmas! It comes with batteries and works brilliantly. Everytime you press the button a new joke is read out! Great value for money.

Just for fun
Good for stocking filler ,at time of ordering was £7.99 & only because the batteries are included with it think it’s an ok price . Sort of jokes you’d get in Xmas cracker so would amuse or even end up annoying after the 150 jokes most ages
