Quality, durable, lightweight, Samsonite luggage!
Love the color. Got a great deal. These have held up perfectly over the past year to many many trips, TSA, and baggage handlers who treat your items with the utmost care and respect (/sarcasm). Very light weight, so they aren't eating into that 40/50 lb airline weight limit before they steal more of your precious money. Love the simple 3 digit lock code, keeping everyone out of your personal items except TSA and those who can guess your combination of 1-2-3, your birthday, etc.

LOOKS GREAT, BUT NOT YET USED
Just got off a 7 day cruise to Alaska, and decided I needed a suitcase upgrade, as my old 2 wheel duffel would barely close on the contents, returning. The Samsonite arrived intact, big and beautiful, just as pictured. The wheels, locks, extendable handle and zippers all work smoothly, so am good to go. I've read the surface scratches, which is disappointing, but a hard case that doesn't simply does not exist, I think, as the reviews on all the other models noted they did, as well, so just have to live with it, I guess. As long as it remains in one piece, and contains the contents, with working wheels and zippers, I'll be satisfied. The lock system seems a little fragile, just being the zipper tips inserted into holes, with a latching bar running thru it. However, it's not a concern for me, as my duffel had no lock, and I never pack anything other than clothes, toiletries and a book or two, so not a prime target for potential thievery, I think. Overall, I really like it, at this point. I'm hopefully traveling to Kenya in February, and will return to edit this review when I return.

Great luggage set that is just a little heavy
The Samsonite hard case luggage set feels premium but is just a bit heavy. As far as functionality and looks go, this set is everything I wanted. The color is beautiful and easy to pick out in baggage claim. The shell is durable and holds up to wear and tear. I have had no issues with the zipper, and it has never jammed or become misaligned. The expansion capability is as advertised. Functionally, the set is great - it rolls smoothly on any axis. For me, they are just a bit heavy, but that is with any hard case luggage!

Used as a sports bag
My daughter uses this luggage as a figure skate sport equipment bad. She keeps two pairs of ice skates and all of the things she needs at the rink in this bag. She is fifteen and loads it in and out of a car and into an ice rink between 8 to 10 times a week. She is not careful with it. It is thrown around like any normal sports bag. This is the only bag she has had that has lasted more than 6 months. Other than the paint she has scrapped from my car onto the bag this bag looks new. The zippers look new, the seals look new, it is still in excellent shape. I highly recommend this bag.

Smooth Travel with a Durable, Stylish Luggage Set
Smooth Travel with a Durable, Stylish Luggage Set This Samsonite Centric 2 luggage set is the kind of travel gear that makes life easier from the moment you leave the house. The hardshell exterior has a clean, modern look and feels strong enough to take the bumps and scrapes of airport handling without looking beat up. After a few trips, mine still looks sharp, and the textured finish does a good job of hiding minor scuffs. The spinner wheels glide smoothly and really cut down on the strain of hauling bags through airports and hotel lobbies. The handles feel sturdy and extend easily without wobble. Both the carry-on and the larger checked bag are expandable, which has been a lifesaver when bringing back extra souvenirs or clothing. Inside, the layout is practical with zippered compartments and cross straps that help keep clothes in place. A couple of things to keep in mind: like most hardside luggage, these don’t have exterior pockets, so quick-grab items need to go in a backpack or tote. Also, while the set is lightweight for hardshells, if you really pack the larger case to the brim, it can get heavy fast. Bottom line: A reliable, good-looking set that balances durability, functionality, and smooth maneuverability—excellent for frequent travelers or anyone who wants luggage that holds up well over time.

Out Of Box Thoughts: Lovely! Hoping the Polycarbonate is Deceiving
I'm giving this a conditional 4-star review and reserving final judgment for after my international trip in a few months. As for my straight-out-of-box thoughts: I saved some money by buying a used set of three (20" 24" and 28") cases (listed condition was great/like new so for half the listed price I thought that was a good gamble). They came delivered in an Amazon box—not the Samsonite packaging—which was clearly noted on the sales page for the used set. They arrived as advertised: they look brand new and are in perfect condition. The three cases nest inside each other for convenient storage and are very lightweight. However, as I set the TSA lock to my personal code* I noticed how much give there was to getting the zipper handles to fit perfectly in the lock slots. I had to fumble a bit before I could lock them properly. So 1) it wasn't super easy to lock the zippers and 2) I was disheartened at the "flimsiness" of the case. There are quite a few reviews of this set that show the cases being caved in so now I understand that's a legit possibility. I'm hoping the flimsy feel is simply that polycarbonate has give (everything I've read states it's designed to be flexible and is known for not breaking) and that if something does happen in transit it will not break (and perhaps can be pushed back into shape??) Fingers crossed nothing will happen! Honestly, I currently have Samsonite carryon luggage that my family has used for about 10 years both as carryon and checked, and they are still holding up strong and look good. If I could have purchased the larger sizes of the carryons I already have I would have done so in a heartbeat. I'll update my review after I get back from two weeks in Europe which will include two long-haul flights, a short flight, a bus, perhaps a train, cabs and typical car-to-hotel sidewalk terrain. * Re changing the TSA lock code: I did not receive any instructions on how to set the lock (perhaps due to being "used"?) so I Googled it — it comes set to all zeroes; simply insert a pin in the pinhole next to the code dials and keep it held down while spinning the dials to your preferred code. Release the pin, spin the dials and then try your new code. It should open right up.
