Unusually I feel compelled to write a review because there is so much frustrating misinformation in other reviews that it's hard to know what's true and what isn't!I bought these cartridges to replace the genuine DA29-00003F filter in my Samsung RSG5UUSL American style fridge, which are ridiculously expensive and some reviews suggest they don't fit either - which makes me doubt humanity more than either product.So I took a punt. First off, other reviewers are correct, the profile of the connector is not identical - but then the box would suggest that this item is made to replace more than one part, so I'm happy with compatible rather than identical!On going to fit the filter, lining up the unlocked line did not allow the bayonet to engage, so, like any other thread, I turned the filter 'lefty loosey' slightly until it would engage, then tightened it up until it hit the stop. There wasn't a 'click' as others have said, but it was a good snug fit and clearly not on the edge of coming undone again. I wouldn't say it was mega tight though, just appropriately snug, so don't think you need to be Geoff Capes to install it.As others have said, the water that came out was cloudy, but then the box asks for 3-4 gallons to be run through first. I took this to mean American gallons, so I ran through about 12L and sure enough normal service was resumed.About a month on, the water is still running clear, tastes good and there have been no leaks. I am very happy with this product and am both surprised and confused by reviews to the contrary.One of my favourite negative reviews when researching this purchase (I'm not sure if it was this exact item or an equivalent) stated that their "filter" lamp changed to red almost immediately after changing to an inferior filter - proving that the item is not suitable - if this does happen, just remember that this is nothing more than a timed reminder which you have to reset yourself! I think this tells you everything you need to know about the calibre of some of the reviewers out there...

No regrets since the original F model from Samsung is no longer available. Have tried many other compatible ones for my RSG5UCRS. The hook doesn't completely fit well but just about OK if you use some pressure. No issues with the filtering of water which is what earned the stars.

Took some considerable time to fit, as they don't completely fit right.Supposed to "click" into place, but refused to do that, so I won't be buying them again.Can't see any leaks, but it's still not right. Will buy the previous ones again, though (a bit) more expensive.I stupidly thought they'd all be just the same, it would appear this is not the case.You live & learn...

It’s state this item is for Samsung DA2900003F but it doesn’t fit, it has a completely different connection compare to my genuine Samsung DA2900003F. As you can see by my photo the left filter is the genuine Samsung that fits and the right filter is the filter I have just ordered and does not fit at all. How can it state the same code/reference n° but it clearly not the same connection.

Good quality filter .easy to install , slightly cheaper than previous filters purchased but no difference in taste of water . Would reccomend.

I was a little nervous buying these here from amazon but all was good, they install as expected, do the job they're suppose to, so no problems at all, recommend

delivered within timescale fits the fridge well without leaking, so far so good , 4 filters for the cost of 1 Samsung
