STANLEY SL5W09 Rechargeable 1000 Lumen Lithium Ion Ultra Bright LED Spotlight Flashlight

This if first LED flashlight I have found to be truly useful and bright. It is bit small for a spotlight in traditional sense, but it is great for around yard garden. Things 1/3 to 1/2 city block are adequately illuminated to make them out. Its small size has a positive too, not heavy, easy to carry, takes up little space compared to a regular hand held spot light.One quirky thing is the "dimmer" switch. This must be learned to use. I pressed the buttons and nothing seemed to happen. After several uses, and some disappointment, I thought, hmmmm, what happens if i HOLD DOWN on dimmer / brightener buttons. Golly gee!! IT DOES WORK. It is a true "dimmer" switch of "sliding range variability", not just dim and bright settings!! Now I not only have bit brighter spotlight, but also one that goes to fairly low illumination level too. Call me dumb I guess.Despite a plastic case, it is very sturdy, and is well designed. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this flashlight as a gift for my father. After seeing him use it I fell in love. I just had to buy one for myself. This really is an excellent flashlight. It's exceptionally bright and has a great battery life. After charging it for a few hours the unit lasted me for about 6 weeks with moderate usage. The case to the battery is built tough and won't break when dropped from a resonable height.When you get it home you will have to charge it before you can use it. Keep in mind the flashlight will not turn on when it is connected to the charger either. Give it a few hours to charge.Another feature on this flashlight is the ability to dim the light intensity on it. BUT please note that if you dim the light then shut the flashlight off the light will go back to its original setting when turned back on, you will have to re dim the light.The flashlight itself can light up an entire room. I turned in on in the middle of the night and it looked like daylight in my room. Be careful though, don't look directly into the light or flash it at anyone because it is blinding.The unit comes with a AC charger and a car charger.Overall I would give this flashlight a 5 out of 5. I would recommend it for anyone who needs a flashlight. Its exsecptionally long battery life and bright light make it perfect for road trips, the car, or for day to day use.

This spotlight easily replaces my big bulky spot light I used to use in my truck. The single LED does not use much energy meaning this thing lasts a really long time. I've used it for hours without recharging and have never run it out of power vs my big one that only lasts 10-15 minutes. Comes with both house and car charger. This thing will easily shine across a large corn field and has a very nice and uniform hot spot in the middle with a good and wide coverage. Fits very nicely in your hand. Some things to point out are that when you pull the trigger it turns on and when you let it go it turns off and there is a button on the side you can push to have it hold the trigger down for you. This trigger can also lock it so you can not pull the trigger. The dimming feature is somewhat useless to me since when you dim it and let go of the trigger and then turn it on again it goes back to normal brightness. The dimming might be useful if you plan on having it on for a long time and do not need it at it's max brightness, I'm sure the battery will last much longer on the dim level. I think everyone needs one of these if you ever have a need for a spotlight or even just a flashlight. The construction is very durable as well, feels very solid.

I bought this to replace a 1M NiCad halogen light that wasn't holding much of a charge and then has finally died while also replacing a 1M NiMh halogen light that holds a charge now for about a minute.When buying something that put out a lot of light far away but also up close was important. I bought this unit because of several of the reviews here that said it was almost as powerful as their other 1M candlepower lights.While not disappointed with the light there are a few key things. The light it puts out isn't white as some people have claimed. It's definitely whiter than the normal bluish LED light I'm used to but it's not white. Second, while it dos illuminate items quite far away I feel that it doesn't light up everything around you very far. My old halogen light would light up everything around me for a ways and also up specific objects very far away. Third is the size. I laughed when I read a reviewer that said he had large hands and it didn't fit well in them as I don't have large hands and even in my hands this thing is small! On one end I like it because it fits in a jacket pocket while if I'm wearing gloves it's kind of hard to operate. The body of the unit is smaller tha that of a soda pop can. Lastly are the dimming controls. Still can't figure out how to get the to work but I don't really need to so whatever.Now on to the positives. It's light, does provide a heck of a lot of light for a LED based light and the battery life is sensational. I was getting sick of tired of having to charge my light every couple of days just so I can take my dogs out to do their business at night. This thing goes strong and keeps going strong.All in all very happy with my purchase but in a couple areas it didn't live up as high as I was hoping. I suppose the more expensive model would have met all of those but I don't need to drop that much on a light...!

Very bright. Great spotlight/flashlight. Bought for my husband and he loves it.
