DJ Dreams on a Budget
Great for beginners! Super easy to set up and get started. I bought this for my husband, who’s always wanted to try DJ mixes for our at-home club nights—welcome to the 40 club! It gives him a fun hobby to dive into, and the quality is great for a fraction of the cost of pro gear. Absolutely worth it. Just a tip—if you’re using an iPad or iPhone, you’ll need a USB-C cable.

Great for a small start or on the go
I like it for on the go. I would recommend the flx4 before I’d buy this.

Everything I despise about pioneer but it gets the job done.
If you've been with pioneer for a while you know that while they're the standard it seems like they just don't put any thought into what real users want from their gear. This budget controller is just that. It's gonna get the job done, but only just barely. You will want to rely heavily on rekordbox (as intended) for a true understanding of your trim levels and eq. If you're used to having flexibility to beat jump (as easily as you can on the FLX4, RX3, or AZ) good luck. They don't have that button, it's the sampler instead *facepalm*. Ridiculous to think that your users are actually using SAMPLER over Beat Jump. But I digress. If you want to change that, you're going to MIDI map just enjoy the fact that you are restricted from even mapping certain functions at all because rekordbox won't let you. And, as you can expect Alpha Theta support is exceptionally tedious to deal with.Ultimately, its a fun lil travel deck that will fit in your backpack if you're prepared to bring your laptop and a speaker that has an AUX attachment. But, if you have a roller carryon, you may as well just invest in the FLX4 and buy the case. It will get you farther. Returning since I can't fathom even wanting to use this instead of my RX3, and if I did want a travel controller I'd just get an FLX4
