Freaky fast delivery!
Got this for my LG UG monitor, it works amazingly, super easy to just put in my laptop and then connecting the DP cord they gave me to it. The speeds of translating to my monitor are fast and it looks so good!

Better in your backpack than a USB-C -> Male DisplayPort cable
I used to carry "USB-C to Male DP" cables around in my bag, but the thing is.. There's almost always already a cable plugged into a display you run into, and mobility is a big reason to own such a device as this. If you have a desktop machine attached to a monitor that doesn't move, just get a cable, not this, etc. In practice, I've found that being able to break this out and plug into an existing DisplayPort cable that is already known to work with the display in question to be an improvement in the workflow. Even better, this one supports DisplayPort 2.1 so your fancy 240Hz+ monitor is supported.

It works well
Connects my Mac to a 45" 5K OLEK at 165Hz refresh rate (which is the monitor's max for that resolution and config)

A solid connection in a rattly housing
To start, it's a bit disingenuous of me to review thee adapter without a way to confirm that it lives up to its technical specifications. I certainly do not have an 8k, 10 bit color depth screen lying around. I'd be impressed if my laptop graphics card if it even supported that display mode. That being said, I will offer opinions on what I can fairly. First, yes, it works, it works quite well. It seamlessly connected a modern P14s Thinkpad running windows 11 to a 30 inch LG 4K monitor. If it couldn't do that, would be shocked, but it did, and did so quickly and without any issues. Here are my complaints: 1. The metal (aluminum I suspect) housing rattles like an maraca. The actual female DP plug fits very loosely inside the housing. For a 35 dollar device, I would expect a matching build quality. It does feel like you're paying just for first adopter privileges and nothing else. 2. The description of the cable says it is in a woven sheath. This is incorrect, it's in a standard TPE sheath with small strain protectors at either end. The pictures do show it with a TPE sheath, and I expect the description was taken from an earlier model, which did have a braided sheath. It's fine, the cable is fine, again, I just expected a bit more.

Does what it's supposed to do.
Well built. Needed some display port connections on my razer chroma thunderbolt hub. Picked up two after these and they work great. I'm getting full resolution and refresh rates on both monitors with no weird flickering like I was getting before.
