What a powerhouse! Great product
This thing works great. The metal fan blade is key. I had one with a plastic blade and it wore out quickly. I use it for vacuuming leaves that the landscaper misses. It is extremely powerful and the vacuum pipe is long so I don't have to bend over while using it (I'm 6' 2"). It chops the leaves well and saves me having to fill a bunch of leaf bags. It is very sturdy and well made. Great value for the money.

Powerful, Reliable, and a Big Upgrade From Cordless Models
I absolutely love the BLACK+DECKER 3-in-1 Electric Leaf Blower. Before buying this one, I had already used two different leaf blowers — including a cordless model from another brand — and they just couldn’t handle my yard, especially with the amount of leaves that fall from my big trees. The cordless simply wasn’t strong enough. I eventually borrowed an older BLACK+DECKER blower & mulcher (BV2800) from a friend, and it worked much better than the cordless I had. After returning it, I decided to stick with the BLACK+DECKER brand and upgrade to a newest corded 3-in-1 version. And honestly, I am not disappointed. This tool is powerful, both in blowing and mulching, and it has made yard cleanup so much easier. A bonus is the big mulching bag! However, the only regret I have at this point is that it doesn’t mulch the leaves as finely as the older BLACK+DECKER model I borrowed. The mulching still works, but the older one did a slightly better job breaking the leaves down into smaller pieces. One more thing to note: it doesn’t work very well with wet leaves. If it has recently rained, it’s best to wait until the leaves dry before using the mulcher. It performs much better that way. Overall, this is a reliable, strong, and versatile tool that really gets the job done. Highly recommended!

Better than raking!
The vacuum piece of this equipment works well. As noted in many reviews, the bag is the worst feature as it does not last long. The motor is very powerful and we were able to do a quarter acre with 4 massive oak trees without it jamming (some of the leaves were wet underneath). We had been struggling with leaves this year as the trees shed more than usual with the hot/cold/hot/cold weather. The bag ended up ripping in the spot next to the top where the leaves blow into the bag. After 2 days of use, it was worn through and ripped. The blower does the job really well, you will just need to buy an additional 2-3 cloths bags to get through your leaf season. Overall, the price of the blower is under $100, so with a few extra bags at $20 a piece, it's a good solution and much better than raking. It does a good job of mulching the leaves and saved us on leaf bags. We were able to get probably 2 times the amount of leaves in a bag vs. straight raking. This is a good solution for us, just wish the cloth bag was a better product. B&D seems limited in what type of bag they can connect as it has to breathe, so they can't have too durable a material for the bag. We did not use the plastic throw away bags and we did not use the blower feature. It got 4 stars instead of 5 because of the bag wearing quickly. Again, we knew this going is because of other reviews so we weren't too surprised when it happened. Buy some extra cloth bags and you'll be happy.

Not invincible, but still a really good leaf vac/blower!
I wasn't sure when I ordered this if I would really like it. However it has presented itself well and proven to be a pretty good purchase! I am not a "yard fanatic" but I decided to try this on the leaves from the big magnolia tree in our front yard. The machine will plug up if I am not careful. Magnolia leaves are big, stiff, tough. The seed cones are slightly smaller but tough if not tougher than the leaves. Then you throw in the branches and the vac will make a whale of a racket as it chops and grinds up things that should be breaking the moving parts and surrounding plastic - but so far it hasn't broken anything. It will plug up the intake nozzle. A branch or cluster of leaves enters and gets crossways and things can plug up quickly. If I stop the vac right away and shake it it usually will unplug, but occasionally I have to disconnect the intake tube. I believe this would be the perfect vac for other species of leaves, oak, maple, and other less formidable leaves than the magnolia. I did have to take the cloth bag off and do a bit of trimming of the fraying threads that developed with using the vac. I then used my hot glue gun to glue the seams around the intake and other areas where I saw that the stitching and seams were fraying. (Stitched seams will fray. It takes extra effort to prevent this.) It is a noisy device and I use ear plugs. It will quickly fill up a 55 gal garbage bin with nicely chopped mulch. My compost bin worms were very pleased to start eating up a compost bin filled with the chopped up leaves. If you have lots of leaves this is one solution. It is also nice for cleaning up the bands of cut grass that my lawn mower leaves when I mow the lawn.

It works well, but
I had one of these 10 years ago and thought it was okay but wasn't really impressed by the vacuum feature. Pretty much the same thoughts 10 years later. Its a really decent electric leaf blower for the price. And a bargain when you factor in its dual uses and all the accessories. However, don't expect to just be able to vacuum up leaves out of your lawn as if it were a vacuum cleaner. No it isn't quite that easy. Its ability to much the leaves is super impressive. The large heavy duty spinning blade is impressive. But, the suction power leaves a lot to be desired. And the whole apparatus is easily clogged and basically useless when the leaves are damp. Overall I would only recommend this product depending on what your needs are. Pros: definitely above satisfactory blowing power. A lot of equipment for the price. Durable, although somewhat heavy construction. Con: Less than satisfactory ability to suck up piles of leaves. So basically it is a great blower and you have the option of the vacuum but, do you really want it?

This leaf blower is awesome. It has the power to do everything I needed it to do. From sidewalks to walkways and driveways. I used the vacuum part to clean leaves on a couple of carpeted porches. I even used it to clean some eves troughs. It did an amazing job on all of them. It's a keeper. I haven't tried the mulcher yet but as soon as it dries up a bit. I have some gardens that need to be cleaned. Update Dec 19, 2025 I had the chance to use this unit as a mulcher/collector for leaves and debris . It did an awesome job. Never clogged. mulched everything I wanted it to, did an awesome job. I even found another unconventional use for it. We had a couple light fluffy snow falls so far. I used it to blow the snow off the sidewalks, walkways and the car. Did a really good job. Would I recommend it....absolutely yes.

I have a large yard and a lot of leaves and this product worked great. The blower has a nozzle that waggles back and forth, and is really good at getting leaves to move, even wet ones. I blew them into rows, then was able to suck them all up. The bag holds a lot of leaves, you have to empty it before its full as it gets too heavy so its the right size. If the back fills, you can just push down on the top of the bag and compress the contents and just keep going. The suction is great and will take up small sticks, but eventually the blower channel will get clogged and you have to use a screwdriver to clean it out, but its better than I would expect. The mulching ability of this unit was great, even with fairly wet leaves and some snow. One operational problem, is the cord does not connect well, even with a knotted connection, it still disconnects occasionally, I may try a different extension cord. Another problem I had was with the bag was not sewn correctly, there was a double layer of material around the intake connection, this was not sewn down and it just shredded itself inside the bag. I called support and a new bag is on its way. I did not find anyone else with this problem so likely an isolated sewing mistake. Overall I am very happy with the unit and it does a great job mulching which is what I bought it for.

The leaf blower is perfect and of good guality. However the seller promised to match the sale price that happened before I even received the blower. I have not received the refund as promised.

I have had this device for 8 months and have used it extensively in very different environments. As long as your leaves are dry it works quite well. However if your leaves are damp, not wet, just damp the impeller gets clogged with very small debris and it causes the machine to stop any suction. I have tried everything to prevent this but nothing seems to help. See the photos I have included. Again the blower part is powerful and works great but the suction part in damp leaves is terrible. Keep in mind that fall is when you need this device for leaves is the fall when it gets rainy and has a lot of dew which makes the leaves damp.
