Seal Tight ORIGINAL Cast and Bandage Protector, Best Watertight Protection, Adult Short Leg (Pack of 2)

Let’s be serious. If you’re in the market for one of these, you’re not exactly having the best day/week/year. Either you’re ordering on an emergency basis due to an unexpected injury, or you planned to sign up for your temporary gimp situation. In any event, the only thing worse than being in a position where you’re forced to wear one of these would be wearing one of these that didn’t work. To further manage your expectations, there is no easy way to enjoy a shower or bath when you’re sporting this along with your newfound disability. So just be prepared for bathing to become an evil necessity. Beyond that, this cast protector has delivered as expected. You might notice a little condensation forming in the bag but bandages have remained fully dry in both shower and bath. I recommend pulling above the knee versus below if it all possible to avoid any potential gaps. Good luck, and this too shall pass. :)

While the product seems to be OK for some situations but in my particular case, the plastic ring will not get past the heal of my cast. I might add that it is not a particularly large cast and it ends mid-way of the calf. So, I have yet to have the opportunity to actually try this product out to test it's shower worthiness. So buyer beware, the inside diameter of the plastic ring is 6-5/8ths inches and may not be wide enough for your cast as well. If your foot or ankle is just bandaged this will probably work just fine. The picture on the box is deceiving.

I used this product to keep my fiberglass cast dry after Achilles surgery. I had a cast that came up to just below my knee and this size worked well even for long legs - cast came up 23 inches from the bottom. A trick to putting it on is to put a kitchen sized trash bag over your cast first, and then the Seal Tight protector slides right up the case with no binding or damage to the seal. Just tuck all of the trach bag below the seal and inside the protector. To remove, reverse the procedure by pulling the top of the trash bag back up thru the top seal and it slides right off. I used the Seal Tight protector for over 6 1/2 weeks with no problems, leaks, or issues getting it on or off. Glad someone told me the trash bag trick to get it on and off.

So I broke down and bought this because last time I had a cast I sucked it up and used plastic trash bags and I am glad I did. I am 5 ft tall and bag was able to fit over my cast which was under knee and did not leak at all in shower. I have used with the cast and had no leaks. the hole is pretty tight (probably so it won't leak, duh) and so it was a little challenging getting it on (my size 5 wmns foot) and actually very easy to take off.The bag itself is pretty thick and I durable. I have not yet tried to get it on my boot post surgery but i will try for review purposes and maybe see if my bare foot can get in and submerge. (thats future because I'm only week post surgery) I would like to think I if you had help with rubber you can get it over sutures and be fine.The product is a good price and works. If you are sore or tender it probably won't work for you because it is tight and will probably hurt going on.

This product worked quite well for me. Unlike the reviews I read. It is rather tight the first couple of times to make the elastic cover fit and slide into your cast. I used it with a bulky plaster cast and its width and length fit quite good. I'd put it over the knee and no water ever went through, it's tight and leaves a red mark/circle, but nothing too dramatic. Its bearable people. Lastly, I used around 1-2 weeks after surgery and had to be slow and careful when sliding it on, since any jerked movement upset my leg easily. Other than that. Great product. I used it for 2 months and worked awesomely. No need to had purchased a replacement

The only thing the rubber that seals it around the leg was way to tight. After struggling to get it over a surgical incision on a foot for a week, I finally decided to trim it with scissors to fit. That worked much better. Also I put a plastic grocery bag over the foot and then it slid on much easier. Directions for this would have been nice.
