Works great for the Raspberry Pi 4
I like that this hat fits well on the Pi and it also has pins so that another device can be hatted on top. I also like that it has external power pins. The only thing that I don't like is that there doesn't seem to be any way of powering it on physically without using the tiny buttons. Yes, the buttons are programmable, but it would be great to be able to hook up an external power switch. If there is a way of doing that, I'm not aware of it. The vendor should have the option to buy it with a stronger battery.

Great way to power your Pi
Allows for different options for power, adds UPS using supplied battery or add your own. Also includes real time clock and options for booting up on a schedule, useful for remote devices that might need a nightly reboot to help prevent locking up.

Works
These work for what I’m using them for, a UPS, but the documentation is sparse. The battery doesn’t seem to last the 4-5 hours other reviews talk about, but definitely last for a few hours. The light are a little confusing, they seem to stay on all the time.Definitely works, I just nit picky

Returned 2 PiJuice HATs Each had different issues
Issue with first Pijuice Hat: battery would only power the PI for 10 seconds than crash. The PiJuice power level was 88%.Issue with Second Pijuice Hat: board will not recognize the battery. "COMMUNICATION ERROR". no Leds light up when connected to PiI've done my due diligence and researched the git repo discussion boards to no avail.

Had to order a replacement, but 2nd worked as expected
Con: they say like 2.5 hour battery life, it's more like 40 min only powering a PI4b and a USB thumbdrive. Really that wasn't important to me, because I set it to power off after 6 min, but if your using it to run without power, your in for a surprise

Quality does not justify price.
For the premium price, fit and finish is lacking. GPIO header and 2 more connectors on the PiJuice are crooked. The tilted GPIO header means the hat hits my case - I will have to shim it or run it off a ribbon cable. Dip switch on board is squashed. GPIO pins also appear lesser quality than the ones on my Raspberry Pi 4. Does not inspired confidence.I paid extra for this vs. the several inexpensive alternatives to keep money at home and out of the hands of the bottom-dollar foreign shysters. We gotta do better than this, boys.Oh, and if I was choosing, I'd rather have rechargable AA's or 18650 batteries and the option of 12V input. I want to make a solar powered setup but it will have to have an intermediate step, like a solar charge controller and separate 12V USB charger.

Pi not so much juice
This won't get you powered for long. Useful for a backup incase you loose power temporarily. Not for use for long periods of time, or even short.......
