Surprisingly easy to move from place to place! Also was very easy to assemble
One thing I was pleasantly surprised by is how portable this thing turns out to be. You just lift the loop up off the cradle- it's not very heavy; carry it to the new location, lean against a wall, go back for the cradle. Both parts are perfectly easy for 1 person to move.I was also pleased with how quickly and easily the assembly went.Like putting together a LEGO project. The plastic curved pieces make a satisfying "snap" when they go together (much like LEGO) so that you know you've connected them correctly.Young cat here is getting the hang of it, after a couple of weeks I notice he gets on all by himself sometimes. Doesn't use it for long at a time but I am hopeful. Mature cat ignores it, as expected. ;)I would say the only tricky part of assembly was being very, very careful about laying down the sticky-bottom felt pads on the running surface. That adhesive is really strong, so you want to align them just right.Once a pad starts to go on crooked, you've got to catch it right away and peel it back up before too much of it has made contact, or it'll be a bear to pull off.If your hands shake at all or you are more than usually OCD about perfect results, you might want to enlist a second person to assist with that part of the build.

My siamese boys love this thing!
I recently moved into a pretty small apartment after previously having a lot of property to walk my cats. I was really apprehensive about buying this for them, but needed to give them an outlet for energy since they are pretty active. What if they didn't like it? Once this wheel snaps together, I cannot imagine it would be very easy to disassemble for returns. Do I wanna take that risk?...It's a relief to say I'm glad I bought it. My boys FIGHT over using it! Yes it does wobble a little and I'm not sure why, but it doesn't seem to bother my cats at all. My smaller one runs at full speed on it with no issues.I appreciate its streamlined appearance and lightweight build. It's very easy to move around for sweeping and vacuuming; I simply scoot the base with my foot. The sound is much MUCH quieter than many of the other cat wheels I've seen elsewhere.Lastly, I read another reviewer say something about the smell of the pads, and for the life of me cannot figure out what the heck they are talking about. There is no smell. I have a VERY sensitive sense of smell and am the type that gets smell-induced migraines. This product does not put off any odor; not even the felt pads. Speaking of, I really like that the pads can be removed and changed out as needed. I didn't know when I purchased this that it would become a favorite scratcher/stretcher for my cats before walking or running. 10/10 would buy again!

So far…
… The news is mixed. It went together very easily and seems sturdy and works as advertised. Right now it's on carpet and not very noisy but when I had it downstairs on tile it was still minimally noisy. At this point, my kitty has not gotten interested and is a little bit timid. I've tried waving a toy over the track, but so far she hasn't been enticed. I'm certainly going to give it more time and perhaps try the suggestion of one of those pasty cat treats that come in a tube, though I don't want to mess up the walking surface in any way that might be permanent.I plan to revisit this review after we (Natasha and I!) Have had more time with this item.

Helps to tire out 10 month old kitten
Vinnie, our 10 month old kitten showed up as a stray, help to put together the treadmill and was in it the minute I put it on th rollers. He had a two day learning curve, he wanted to grasp the edges like he was climbing a tree, but now he’s on it several times a day. There’s a marked reduction in his bouncing off the walls zoomies. The other 3 cats aren’t interested yet, but my 3 year old, 12 lb. Pekingese hops on for a trot every day.

So glad we got this thing. 2 out of 4 ain't bad.
Ok. This thing is great. We weren't sure how our cats would react. We have 4 cats. 2 get the zoomies through the house daily even though our house isn't really conducive for zoomies. We got tired of them crashing into things and got this wheel. Within 48 hours one of the 2 zoomers was trotting on it, and within 3 or 4 days our biggest, zoomiest male had learned to run on it. We honestly didn't have to do anything but entice them on it once or twice, they figured it out from there on their own. They absolutely love it. They both literally meow their heads off while running on it. It's so cute. They are both 3 years old. My other 2 cats are not remotely interested but they aren't as active in the first place. We mainly got it for the runners and they love it. So glad we finally bit the bullet and got this thing. We also considered a smaller brand because neither of our cats are particularly large, but I'm glad we didn't because this size seems good for even our littlest one (she's only about 6 or 7 lbs). Our male couldn't run on anything smaller, I don't think. It's more quiet than we imagined it would be. It sounds sort of like roller blades. If it's in the same room you sleep in it might be problematic but it's not bothersome in the next room. I also worried it would be wobbly, but it isn't, it's pretty sturdy.Overall it's paid for itself in entertainment for the cats as well as us.
