Excellent for a church
I bought several of these for a church so that we could translate sermons and support Bible studies with non-English speakers. Overall, I'm very pleased. Several people have asked me about purchasing a device because it worked so well.Pros* The overall quality of the hardware is very good. It looks nice, it feels high quality, and is very intuitive. It seems as if the company was trying to copy Apple.* The user interface is exceptional. It is very polished and intuitive. I have given the devices to others and they were able to figure out to use it.* Translation quality is very good when you have the device connected to wifi. The translation is fairly quick (just a few seconds delay).* There are lots of different modes for various situations. It even has the ability to create a translation that can be shared with other devices (such as phones, tablets, etc.) via a URL.Cons:* The ear buds don't have a long range from the base station (only about 10 feet). The ear buds fall out of sync with each other if you walk away from the device.Other thoughts:* You need to change the way you do a conversation for the device to work best. You have to limit yourself to a sentence or two and then pause for the device to translate it. It is easy acclimate to and works very well once you adjust to it.* The ear bud batteries don't make through our service and Bible class though I don't blame it since it can go on for over two hours.

Too many issues
Bought this for my trip to South America. Only one way translation not two way translation like it advertises.

Nice quality, not fast enough translation.
A nice device, but the translation is delayed so that the conversions cannot continue in a normal speed. Therefore if you have a one on one and are in no rush, this translation is good I think. If the intent is to translated a video, a conversation or something else it is too slow.

Works as well as could be expected
I really haven't had much experience using this in a practical application, so my only use has been tuning into a Spanish speaking TV station to see how well it translates to English. I can follow along well enough to understand what is going on, when watching dramas and news shows, but using this with someone that is bi-lingual, that can attest to it accuracy, has been infrequent, but promising in it's translation by their review of it.

Disappointing – Translation and Hardware Issues Make This Product a Letdown
Despite its attractive packaging and sleek design, this device falls drastically short of expectations. I would have rated it one star, but I gave two stars solely because of the design and packaging quality.1. Translation Quality: The device’s translation capabilities are mediocre at best, often no better than, and sometimes worse than, Google Translate. The translations lack coherence and context, resulting in a disjointed string of words that often fail to convey the intended meaning. It translates individual words rather than delivering fluid, contextual sentences, which makes it extremely difficult to understand.2. Hardware Design Flaws:(1) Portability: Although the design is visually appealing, it’s bulky and impractical. It’s too thick to fit comfortably in a pocket, limiting its convenience.(2) Screen Usability: When placed on a desk during a conference call, the screen is hard to view from a natural angle. The tall, narrow shape with sharp edges makes it difficult to position, and the user is forced to hold it or look down awkwardly to read the display. It would have been far more user-friendly if the screen had an adjustable tilt or a built-in angle for better visibility on a flat surface.(3) Audio Sync Issues: A critical flaw is the delay between the right and left earbuds, which causes a distracting time lag that makes it hard to focus on conversations. This type of audio lag is unacceptable for a device designed for seamless translation.(4) Bluetooth Range: The Bluetooth functionality is disappointing; the connection drops if you stray even a short distance from the device. When tested at around 10 meters, it disconnected entirely, which is far below the standard range for Bluetooth devices.3. Offline Functionality: I tested the offline translation feature with English, Chinese, and Korean, and to my surprise, it didn’t work at all. The device failed to translate offline, which is frustrating and makes the feature essentially useless. In summary, while the exterior design and packaging are impressive, the actual performance of this device is underwhelming. This product feels more like an unfinished concept than a polished, reliable tool, and I worry for the company’s future if they continue to release products like this.

Great overall, compact and useful
This is a great translator for the size and utility. The included earpieces work extremely well and pick up languages and translate quickly. I had a few issues randomly with wrong words getting picked up due to a noisy environment. The best use case is to connect this through bluetooth to your computer or phone and have it translate in real time. This will also translate videos, meetings, or just about any audio source, again in real time. Many features are included like conversational translation, the "Ask & Go" which starts the translation immediately, and listen-and-play utilizing the earbuds.Voice calls and meetings can utilize multiple X1 devices which will need to be connected to each other using an ID provided by the device. You can connect up to 20 devices for 5 different languages and speak freely. The compact size allows this to travel easily and almost fit into a pocket, more like a jacket pocket. The earpieces charge internally which also acts as storage. Some features do not work while plugged in, like the bluetooth setting to that is something to be aware of.Overall a great device for simultaneous translating
