Nice shovel
Good and solid, almost too nice to use, going to get it dirty soon.

Well designed. A serious tool. Impressed.
This is not a light weight shovel. I was looking for a long handle trowel for planting. This is more like a narrow shovel, but it will work. It’s as long and heavy as my regular shovel, and very well made. I like the extra hand grip section half way down the handle. I thought that black section might be a height adjustment thing, but it’s not. The blade part is very heavy, very long, well made, and thoughtfully designed. Those 2 top edges for stepping down on will be helpful.

Good quality shovel
The media could not be loaded. I had been wanting one of these for a while since I occasionally run into yard situations in which I need a narrow shovel. Today we planted a row of 15 compact Japanese holly shrubs on a hillside between some other plants, and this shovel worked great at allowing me to dig deep holes without going too wide. I had to dig through dense clay, and this shovel did a very nice job of slicing through the soil. It was still a lot of work, but it was easier with this. There was no breaking or warping of parts that I could detect at all, so I assume this thing will hold up over time. At about 6" wide, this shovel is narrower than a standard digging shovel, but wider than a narrow trenching spade. I think that technically you could still trench with this, but be aware that the end of this is rounded, rather than pointed. Overall, I'm satisfied with this, and I think it will be a handy tool for me for years go come. I'm giving it four stars based upon the value provided at the current retail price of around $37.
