Shelf Version, really good!
It's really worth the money. This is a shelf version so it's big and heavy. With a great hard cover. The content is fantastic, with great pictures and drawings. I'm extremely happy

Brilliant!
A very, very detailed book from an expert, reminiscent of Bear Grylls and Ray Mears. Wiseman covers pretty much everything you would need to know if you are out in the middle of nowhere (for whatever reason). 1. Essentials (the kit you need, how to find water, how to face disaster, etc) 2. Make Camp (where and how to build a shelter. make a fire, use animal skins, tie knots, etc) 3. Extreme climates (Arctic, Tropical, Desert, Sea) 4. Food: Foraging (choosing the most nutritious foods, what plants to avoid, etc) 5. Food:hunting (how to hunt or trap an animal, what parts are edible, how to fish, etc) 6. First aid (a very detailed part of the book covering everything you could ever need to know on the subject). 7. Accidents and Disasters: natural and man-made (how to survive any type of accident, from a car crash to a nuclear explosion!) 8. Rescue: Back to Civilization (signalling and codes, search patterns and helicopter rescue)

Great gift for someone
Good survival book with good information and pictures. If you haven't got one or know any of this then buy one or give as a great gift, especially the hardback edition. Large, easy to read and lots of notes and pictures.

Exactly what you would expect. A great instruction manual.

Superb.
An absolute favorite book of mine. Would recommend to anyone interested in the outdoors or survival. Lofty Wiseman is a very experienced man who knows what he is talking about. This reflects in what he has written as majority of it is first hand experience. Great illustrations and photos to show exactly what is what, for example the section describing various types of knots is made very simple to follow by use of pictures.

Definitive
Every little person with an interest in the outdoors should be given this once they're old enough to hold it [but not old enough to actually be able to build the traps in anything other than lego or matchsticks... just in case!]. Famous for a reason, this is the ultimate guide to all outdoor tasks, not just the 'just in case of the worst', but useful things that can make life so much easier in a huge number of situations [the first aid alone is worth the price]

Best survival, hunting, camping, and outdoor book you will ever buy. Love this book. Amazingly well written, not to wordy. Great pictures and diagrams. This book costs more than other SAS Survival books but worth the money for the colour pictures. Same information as black and white SAS books but has hard cover, colour pictures and glossy pages. Great read. If you do any sort of outdoor activity this is a must book to get. Even if you don't do outdoor activities very valuable information for survival in the home. My favourite survival book I have ever owned.
