A Fun Read
4/5 At its core: a fun read. You can kind of foresee most of the major plot points, but I didn't get the feeling that the novel is intending to shock you - it's more about the main character facing the actual events and their severity. The main character isn't very interesting or particularly likable, which makes it kind of weird when romance enters the picture. It's all kind of ridiculous when you think about it, but there are some creepy moments and the absurdity of it all is what makes it so fun to read. All in all, it's a quick, easy read that most readers won't regret.

twisty and make you really think
i read the book in a week. for me its outrageously fast. the story moves fast and the author through in enough sex(not Porno) to get the plot going. its about real people, real people have sex. real people do things it all the other things that make it twisty. for me a good read and kept my attention.

Addictive, and Impossible to Put Down
Verity is one of those books that grabs you and does not let go. I flew through it in one sitting because every chapter ends with something that makes you say, “Okay just one more.” The tension builds perfectly, and the whole time you’re trying to figure out what’s real and what’s manipulation. The diary entries were disturbing in the best way, and the final twist had me sitting there like wow. Colleen Hoover really nailed the psychological thriller vibe here. If you like dark, twisty, mind games type books, this one will stay with you long after you finish.

Still Scratching My Head
I decided to read this book for a few reasons. I saw it was being made into a movie, it was on sale with the audiobook too, and so many people gave the book high reviews. In this case it was three strikes and this one was next on my tbr list. I want to start out saying I enjoyed the story for the most part. I’m not going to give any spoilers here, although you will find some other reviews that have the same thoughts as me. Which is to say this author knows how to write. She can create amazing characters and interesting stories that will flow well and keep readers engaged. What I did struggle with were a few plot points that had holes. As I sit here trying to explain my reasons, I simply can’t as I’ll ruin the twist and other details. Let’s just say some things didn’t add up or make sense and a few others go against my morals. I wasn’t shocked or I didn’t cry but I did feel for Jeremy losing his two girls a few months apart and then reading that autobiography. Not sure it justified the outcome. And I get it’s just a story but I’m now left with some unanswered thoughts which is frustrating. Do I recommend this book, hard question to answer tbh. I know the die hard fans of CoHo will loved it regardless because it’s not a bad book. It’s worth the read if you go in with an open mind and then you might not be disappointed with all the hype. It’s a 50/50 book, despite the overall rating it gets, half will love it and half will still be perplexed on some matters.

I loved this book so much. The plot twist, the characters just kept me glued to it to know what happens next. I'm still conflicted between team manuscript or team letter. When you pick this book up DON'T READ IT AT NIGHT!! It will creep you out. A bit of SPOILER! Verity is an author and is married to Jeremy and they have 3 children but the twins die and things take a turn for the worst. Verity is bed ridden after her accident and can't finish her remaining 3 series,so Jeremy talks with her publisher to hire another author to finish the series for her and he goes to the meeting where he meets Lowen a small author who just lost her mother and is looking for a job to distract herself. Lowen takes the offer Jeremy has negotiated with her and in order to start the series, she needs to familiarise herself with Verity's work. Lowen agrees to stay in there house for the weekend to get the notes she needs only to come across Verity's manuscript that was never to be read by anyone and things take a turn after she realizes she's is falling for Jeremy and is conflicted whether to give him the manuscrips to read or keep them to herself, what unravels next is shocking,,, It's a must read for thriller lovers.
