Very short lived
I purchased this kettle 3 months ago. It was working great, then it just stopped. It powers on, you can select a temperature, then hit start. It starts to heat, but after about 5 seconds, it stops. Very disappointed. There are no options to return it.

Great Tea/Coffee pot
Just received two days ago and have to say this is a fantastic product. Size is perfect. Holds up to 1.5L. When pot is filled to this point there is still plenty of room so splatters outside the pot doesn’t happen. It heats up very fast and depending on temperature you choose (I’ve used175) it is nice and hot. Functionality is just plain simple. Just fill pot, plug it in, lightly touch temperature choice, press start. There are 6 temperature choices along with tea type written underneath. Loose Tea holder pops onto lid nice and tight. And lid presses onto pot easily. Very easy to clean and dry because pot has a wide opening. Beep reminders are soft and it just beeps once for a few different reminders. Not at all annoying. HIGHLY recommend this product. Give it a try.

Defective product and no return option!
This stopped working and apparently there is no way to return it or get any compensation. The temperature grid is stuck at 57 and the water does not heat up. I am extremely disappointed that there is no warranty on an item that costs almost $100, help Amazon

Design flaw/fault; premature failure
This kettle used to be ~$80, but is now around $35. There is a reason for this - this kettle has proven to be unreliable. I've had this keey for a few months and I am having the same issue other people are - it stops heating the water randomly. For what it is worth, this has been one of my favorite kettles while it worked. Easy to use, easy to clean, doesn't seem like it flakes a bunch of plastic into my tea (a lot of other kettles have plastic latches for the lid). Mine is currently still usable for green tea (never goes above 190 anymore). Hopefully it can continue, but I'm not holding my breath.

Unbelievable
I looked all over for a kettle of some kind to heat up water for the tea I drink. I couldn't find one that didn't have break down issues so then I landed on this. I wasn't sure I wanted to get it because it's just me and the this holds a lot of tea! I went with it anyway. Honestly? It is unbelievable how good it is. I make a very large mug (16 oz) because I can't leave my desk as I'm on the phone. It has a water level that is their lowest setting and I fill it just above that line. I really like the fact that you can set the time based on the type of tea you are drinking. The best part about this is the warm setting. I use it because I don't wait for the tea to get done. So I set it for green tea, hit the warm button and then start that way once the tea is done it will keep it warm. it really stays at the temperature for green tea until you remove the pot to pour your tea. I truly love this thing and can't imagine how I got along without it!

Green Tet
My family and I purchased the older variant of this pot, and it works well. Icookpot had a promo on Amazon where you could buy the older variant, and this new one together for a cheaper price, so we did it. Here are the things I've noticed about this pot, compared with the older. Titanium Pot * This new pot features a titanium metal on the boiling metal plate, hence the titanium name. * The top lid has a rather a metal like coating (I'm not sure if it's truly titanium or not) on the bottom part, and then a rubber gasket type thing to seal the pot. * The bottom of the pot isn't entirely flat. * The base now has a new "Green Tet" mode, at 175F * Touch buttons Compared to the old pot... * The top lid has a glass top, and metal siding, with a perforated metal edge so you can keep the stuff inside the pot from spilling out (the titanium doesn't have that) * The base on the old one has six other features (Milk, Noodles, Soup, Boiled Egg, Disinfection, Delay Time) that isn't on the new one, but let's be real - who uses those features anyways? (I actually used the egg one a lot, so slightly disappointed this one doesn't have it) * Green/White Tea is atleast spelled correctly However... the old pot does suffer the same quality control, where the pot itself would be unresponsive to temperature control (either over boiling, or not boiling at all). I would think that this is primarily due to the metal conducts on the bottom, where water would get in and corrode the part. This new titanium pot, again, does the job correctly, very straightforward to use, and again, subject to the same cleaning methods as the old ones. Let's hope this one survives for more than a year.

Downgraded quality
It stopped working after just three months! I chose it because my old version from the same company lasted more than five years, but it seems the quality has been downgraded.
