Tractive Base Station - GPS Tracker Battery Life Extender, Compatible with All Tractive Devices

I’m so glad I decided to get the Tractive Base Station along with the GPS tracker — it’s a total game-changer! The setup was incredibly easy. All you need is a plug, and when you're setting it up through the app, you just select it as a network for your pet’s safe zone. It took just a couple of minutes to get it up and running. One of the biggest benefits is how much it helps extend the battery life of the tracker. Before getting the base station, the battery was great on its own, but now it lasts even longer since the tracker doesn’t have to constantly stay connected to WiFi or use as much cellular data when my dog is home. It makes the system even more low-maintenance, and I love that I don’t have to recharge nearly as often. Another thing I really appreciate is that the customizable range on the base station is much bigger than my regular WiFi. It covers my entire house and yard easily, giving me better flexibility and peace of mind when my dog is moving around. It’s perfect for anyone with a larger property or spotty WiFi coverage. If you're using Tractive and want to get the most out of your device, I would definitely recommend picking up the base station. It’s an easy upgrade that makes a big difference for battery life, range, and reliability.

My Tractive collar unit did not recognize the Wi-Fi in the house as it is limited to some specific bands. The Base Station is an excellent alternative to the Wi-Fi. The base station broadcasts to the whole 2 story house. Despite roaming everywhere in the home, kitty has stayed in the "Power Saving Zone" for over a week. The Base Station definitely extends the battery life on the collar unit--I recharge about once a week.

Works exactly as advertised. No setup is required on the device itself other than plugging it in, and the app will recognize it as a base station automatically when setting up the power saving zone. I also love the small form factor.

Works well most of the time. We've tried different range settings and either it says our dog is home when she's out and about or that she got out when she's secure in the house.

I purchased this to actually decrease the power saving zone at our house. We have outdoor wifi repeaters so our entire 2 acre yard is covered. However, I need a faster notification when our pupper goes outside the 1/2 acre fenced in yard adjacent to the house. Unfortunately, there are SO many things wrong with this device: (1) It comes with a 12 inch USB C power cord, but no actual wall adapter. (2) The instruction manual is thick, but only because it's written in many languages. While easy to setup, don't expect any help from the manual. (3) As advertised, this is not water resistant and cannot be left outdoors - which leads us to the major flaw of this. (4) The range is ridiculously small. Inside the house, in the middle of our dining room (20x20), it covered just that room. I tried it in other rooms and that's about the size of the "ring of coverage" the app would show. If is was against a wall (you know, where the power and a place to set it on would normally be), it was even smaller. Even if I put it against a window, the signal only expanded to several feet outside the house. I plugged it into a portable battery bank and took it into the yard. Mind you, now I'm standing in the middle of a 1/2 acre field - no obstructions whatsoever. This time the circle appeared to be about 25 feet in diameter. By the way, it does have three "power levels" - I tried them all, and they all produced the same exact size of coverage. So, unless you are going to use this as a portable device to protect a VERY small area, I cannot recommend this.

I now can help my phones battery charge last a bit longer by turning off its Bluetooth and wifi to keep the Tractive XL in power saving mode. This little gizmo works great !

You need this if your Tractiv doesn’t have a WiFi signal to tell it that it can relax in your home. I happy that my need to remove the tracker and charge it has been extended by days. The battery life estimates given by the manufacturer seem to presume you are either connected to home WIFI or this base station.

So far this works well. As others said, the short USB cord is pointless, and the lack of a power adapter is a bother. This should just come with the tracker gps. Covers our house fine with level 1 and outside the yard as well. Updates much faster than wifi, that took 10 minutes to update when we took dog out of the safe zone, this is more like 2-3 minutes. Very small which is nice.

Bought to stop the battery draining when away from home. It is tiny, and works really well.

J'ai un WiFi instable dans certaines parties de ma maison, et la station de base est très pratique pour maintenir une bonne couverture et préserver la batterie du traceur GPS de mon chien. Je n'ai pas besoin de recharger le traceur autant qu'avant, donc c'est un avantage de voir la batterie durer aussi longtemps. Ça va être très pratique pour mes vacances en camping cet été. Je recommande.

Il mio tractive non funzionava con il mio modem Fritz box quindi ho preso la base per sfruttare in casa la modalità zona di risparmio energetico ed è cambiato tutto..ora la batteria dura un sacco e ha un buonissimo segnale. Direi che 20€ sono più che buoni per una funzionalità così ottima. Il segnale lo prende da solo..fa tutto in automatico
