There are now many wireless stereo options on Amazon and elsewhere that work with AA or CarPlay and so it's difficult to know how this model compares in overall performance, however it does come at a relative premium price-point to competitive offers just comparing features. Its relatively easy to set up and install. It comes with both a dash and windshield mount and once turned on, the settings are fairly intuitive, but the included manual is not great. This device can connect via blue tooth or aux (an aux cable is included). I tried both and they were equally easy to connect but went back to BT to reduce cable clutter. I had some issues in getting audio to play on my car's speakers but this was more due to AA settings/BT phone settings. Make sure your AA/Carplay app is updated before installation. Once connected, it works OK...no issues with Google Maps, Waze, and Spotify. The Amazon Music app works but in my experience only when manually selecting music as it does not play when using Google Assistant....not sure if that is an Amazon or device issue though. Spotify responds quickly with the Assistant though. The responsiveness of the screen/device lags a bit and is not as snappy as you may be used to with your phone or similar devices but is not a deal breaker IMO. Another quirk is when placing a phone call using either Voice or my Android phone, the audio automatically switches from the car's speakers to the device's speakers...this is not the device's fault though as I believe this is a compatibility issue with AA and my car's year and model. If this is important to you, you'll want to check your vehicle's compatibility with AA before purchase. Overall, this device performs OK for what is designed to do, although there are plenty of competitive offerings that may be a better value comparing price/performance/features. If you are purchasing this as an upgrade to using your phone's screen for maps/music, etc. it is generally fine, but it is not really comparable to a full feature headset to replace your vehicle's OEM radio/stereo.

A fairly good portable add on for Android Auto to your BT stereo. The screen is nice and bright. I like that I can adjust the angle of the screen to account for glare on the screen. There's a bit of lag when selecting icons though. The biggest problem for me was that when I make a call, it switches to the internal device speakers which defeats the purpose of using BT through my stereo. For the price of nearly $70 when the review was written, it should have included a backup camera. There are similar options that do include a backup camera and steering wheel controls with similar performance for about half the cost here on Amazon.
