The Octonauts: Underwater Adventures Box Set

It’s very hard to find Octonaut toys and books, but my daughter is obsessed. These books have been bedtime favorites for several months, and she keeps returning to them. I love the show, and wish they were still making new ones and new books. I’d buy many more if they were available.

Such gorgeous books. Quite different from the Netflix series - much more magical - but with the comforting, familiar characters your child knows and loves. This is an absolute must-have for your reading shelf!

We love octonauts in our house, the books did not disappoint! I wish they had more to the series. My toddler loves reading these. They are colorful, engaging, and so much fun.

I had to read one of these books 4 times the day they arrived for my 2 year old. My son LOVES them. He is obsessed with Octonauts right now and I wanted to get the books to steer more time away from Netflix. These have done the trick. I agree with others that not all stories are like the show but my son doesn't care & he likes them all. He seems to like The Frown Fish and The Lonely Monster the best. The illustrations in these books are beautiful. One thing I like is that each Octonaut is doing something in the beginning of the book when the Octo-Alert sounds, which is awesome! My son is in speech therapy and he needs to practice using verbs so this gives us a great exercise while we are reading. I find that that these are easy books to incorporate questions and skill building rather than just reading if you feel so inclined. Of course, they are great to just read! My son says "Again!" often after we read these at bedtime and I have rarely heard him do so. I am planning to buy the other 2 books that Meomi makes.

Our son is obsessed with the Octonauts and while we don't mind letting him watch it in small doses, he would sit there all day watching them which obviously isn't good. We use these books as before bedtime reading which gets him excited about going to bed. Since there are four books it keeps my wife and I from getting burned out reading them (it also helps that they're written very similarly to the way the show is so they're pretty entertaining). The only thing i would caution is the pages are kind of large, so I would probably save these for when they're old enough to be careful turning pages or keep them up until you're ready to read to them.

Wow Wow!!! My wife and I limit "screen time" for our two boys (6-years and 3-years) and the Octonouts came up on a side panel during one of their Sunday Morning Watch Slots. We love this crew!! One of the reviews I read before we got in too far described the Octonouts as a having the feel of a cartoon mix of Star Trek the Original Series and The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau. I'll vouch for that!! We love the show and when we found this set: The Octonauts: Underwater Adventures Box Set with its note that some of the stories aren't in the videos. we jumped right in. The 4-book set is great and our boys take turns reading for themselves but also reading to each other. Mama and Papa also reading the same way!! For the kids of course but also for ourselves. And we love that the books sometimes have to be tipped on edge to see the deeps. Wonderful Set!!!

My son loves Octonauts, requests these books specifically, and doesn't understand that the stories in them are not episodes of the show.
