A perfect harness by far the best did a lot of research on this and talked to other macaw owners and all told me to get this har
This item is the best of all harnesses on the market. It was delivered on time and I was very pleased with it and my green wing macaw loves it she is getting used to it now so will not be long before she is out flying with it. I watched the dvd quite a few times and followed it to the tee just touch my time getting her used to it did not rush it now she is very good with it so I must say this is by far the best and for not a lot of money we will be trying it out on our blue and gold macaw we are very pleased with it I would recommend it to and bird lovers don't but others buy this and follow the instructions to the full and you will not be sorry nor will your bird getting out safe to fly again with you helping him or her

Happy 'Tiel
My Cockatiel has taken some time to get used to this but it now allows me to take him outside to get some proper sunshine and fresh air.The harness feels secure and has survived all "beaking" and pecking that my 'tiel has thrown at it!It's much softer than other harnesses on the market which has been a godsend whilst our little feather baby had a few pin feathers around his head. The stretchy cord allows a much softer impact on the delicate breastbone of your bird should something spook it enough for them to take flight. I think this is perfectly suited to strong flying birds as it requires the bird to take a bit of time coming back to land.Would recommend this product to anyone with a strong flying bird who needs some fresh air and sun on their feathers!

You need to research online before buying
As the title says, do plenty of homework online before buying.I have a very tame Alexandrine and found:Can it be chewed through? Not easily. When it became clear I was going to shelve the item I gave it to him to chew apart but even with the main springy cord under tension he didn't seem to be able to slice through. Is the harness itself secure? Yes..when correctly fitted. Is it easy to put on? I found the Alexs long wings tricky to tuck through the loop, but I got it on in 20 secs on the first go. Theres a nack to it and you really need to get it right and smooth first time or you will stress the bird.Does the bird like it? Each to their own. My bird seemed claustrophobic in it...the main reason I shelved it.Any other issues? I didn't like the way the long 'springy cord' attached to the harness...it seemed a very superficial splice connection. I also don't like the other end of the whole set up being loosely attached to my wrist.I did a few test runs in the house and didn't feel confident enough to go outside. It really didn't seem worth the risk and the more the bird 'noticed' the harness the fun drained away. I got a few hours sulking and the next time I tried the harness he fought against it.I know plenty of people who use this harness daily and swear by it. It is a GOOD buy, clever, well made and one of the best ways of achieving the purpose..... but as I said originally, it's something you should buy on the basis of quite a bit of research. There was nothing worng with mine...I just didn't have the bottle to go outside!

The best...does what it claims
This is the only harness you should buy. Easy to put on - depending on your parrot obviously. My African Grey has been wearing this every day for a week and really enjoys his time outside. He can fly , perch, walk and explore.I have given the value 3 out of 5 as , I understand you get what you pay for and this harness is the best, I just feel that 4 or 5 times the price of a regular harness is a bit of a stretch given what it actually consists of.

Good, but pricey!
Arrived quickly, and good quality but very expensive for what it is.

Hurt and terrified bird
got this Harness, followed all the instructions and got my Green Cheek conure used to it being around. When he finally pushed his head through it scratched his eyes as the head loop was far too small for him which spooked him making him launch into the air tangling the harness around him which strangled him, he then flew into a wall than landed on the floor. The head loop was so small I had to destroy it to get it off of himThe sizing guide is complete nonsense, he was small for a green cheek and this supposedly fits Cockatiels which are larger. Sending out a new one in a different size as my bird was so traumatized by this incident that he is scared by all forms of string and similar looking items including some of his toys which he used to love to the point that when I tried putting my shoes on in the same room caused him to launch into the biggest panic I have ever seenThe only way I can see getting this on a bird would be to pin the bird down which would only cause unwanted pain and fear in them which is the last thing I want for my birds, especially from an item which is supposed to give them the chance to go outside and have fun

Strong and parrot proofed!
I was concerned when it put this on my amazon that he would chew his way out of it. The bits are metal and the material is pretty beak-proof. He hates it still, but that's a bird issue; he hates everything anyway. This is a pretty good product. Buy it!The small fit my amazon really well. I thought it would be a bit small, but it was the perfect size.
