This book will always be in my studio space, like a companion I can call upon, or when I feel I need to revise certain principles/approaches when I get a block. Hearing parts of Michelle’s story are touching, heart felt and so visual too, her willingness to share of herself and her art journey gets you to think about your own journey too, I love it!

This is a must read for any artist. I have been practicing my art for 10 years and have learnt so much along the way but there is always more to learn. Michelle’s book is so well-written and easy to read. I couldn’t put it down. Not only did I get aha moments for myself about how to find my own way but I gained an insight into how I might help my children achieve their dreams and goals. This book is full of amazing, inspirational stories of success, exercises and insights. Just brilliant! A must read!

As an artist that has been down a similar road , Michelle is a breath of fresh air. She is focused, driven , natural and so relatable . In this book her achievements to date help guide artists to a more directed journey, bringing out in the open , inner struggles that artists are faced with daily . There is no doubt that you'll feel less overwhelmed and alone, that you do have a destiny in the arts . She makes this possible and is the ultimate role model.

Ive only just got this book and I like whatI'm flicking through, already I'm reading snippets that's intriguing.

Michelle has written a fantastic, insightful book based on her experience of running United ArtSpace, an art mentoring membership for eight years, and many more years of being an artist. She has explored and developed ways of how artists, be they beginners or well established, can become more in touch with themselves and their art. From there each artist can develop and grow into successful creatives, selling and exhibiting their art if that’s what they want or developing ways of sharing and teaching their skills with different communities. It’s is a wonderful helpful book which I will be referring to time and time again, hence why I bought the hardback version!So if you are wondering how you can improve your art, find your own voice or develop a strategy to exhibit in your favourite gallery, then this book is definitely for you, because Your Art Matters!

I loved this book. I felt emotional at times and had several breakthrough moments of insight into my art practice as I read it. I started reading it for a second time as soon as I finished.It is concentrated ideas, messages, and lessons, with actions to take to go deeper, to explore why your art is so important. No hint of judgement just kind, thoughtful, and helpful advice on how to find your creative voice, your purpose, and your people.Michelle Lloyd shares her own experiences of her creative journey in a friendly and approachable style. It felt as if Michelle was talking directly to me.I’ve bought 2 copies so I can have one at my studio and one at home.I'll be returning to this book again and again for reassurance, insight, and direction as I continue on my own creative journey.
