TRISOmetrics: Advanced Science-Based High-Intensity Strength and Muscle Building

A low-impact approach to building strength and muscle
I have a collection of books written by this author (who seems to cover just about everything!), I bought this one when I qualified to work in healthcare - I think the methods taught for building strength have the potential to be very beneficial for people who need a way to build strength and resilience with low impact, there’s also been studies published recently about the benefits of isometric workouts and I’m pleased to recommend it to others

Terrible. Avoid.
This book is a bad joke. Virtually all the text is copy-pasted from the ISO 90 book by the same authors. The only difference is a few short paragraphs on the concept of Trisometrics. In essence, pick one isometric exercise for a muscle group. repeat three times in a row at equal angles along the limbs range of motion. Rest only10s. Then do a 'super slow' 10s up 10s down Isotonic for the same muscle group. That's it. Other than a brief description of why this works in theory, it's all you get over the ISO 90 book. Both of which, incendentally tell you to read the 70s Difference book as the core of the system to avoid repetition... whilst reapeting themselves. The final part of the book is just the same methodology repeated over and over, with some very poorly laid out images and loose descriptions of exercises.Be warned that the book does not contain a program, nor any actually instructions on how to perform exercises. It is really a grossly oversold container for a small extra concept that should and could have been included in another volume.Bar far and away not worth the price. Returning!

Another Great Bullworker training book.
Great book which expands on basic isometrics. Extends the use of Bullworker but can be implemented without.Highly recommended.

This book suggests the Isobow for the exercises and it really is a fantastic piece of equipment BUT it is not the equipment ...
I have been using Isometrics for a long while now in my own training and have been looking for some science to back up what I know works. I am 53 and fitter now than ever and my whole resistance part of my training is isometrics. This book suggests the Isobow for the exercises and it really is a fantastic piece of equipment BUT it is not the equipment that makes the magic happen. Since owning all of Brian's books I have "applied the science" of his Isofitness programme and have been very pleased with the results. I am keen to use this system with my clients from my fitness training nordic walking business. Ian

TRISOmetrics work!
I must admit to being a bit of an Isometrics exercise fanatic so tend to buy anything about the subject :) I know that Brian Sterling-Vete and Helen Renee Wuorio are very well respected in the world of Isometric exercise.A great book that describes the benefits of super slow training and the TRISOmetrics exercise system that targets all angles in a range of motion. Loads of examples of exercises well illustrated too.The great thing about Isometrics is that they produce great results in a very short time as long as you do them with sufficient intensity. Anyway, it's all described really well in this book.

Waste of Money
If you already have the "The 70 Second Difference" then you already have more info then what is in this book. Don't buy this.

For beginner ISO enthusiasts only!!!!
The book is a good book on basic isometric exercises. There is nothing earth shattering, secretive or groundbreaking. I primarily bought it for the research and background information on isometrics, which is well researched and well written. If you are already using isometrics regularly, you probably don’t need the book. But if you want to start using isometrics the book has plenty of information on how to do it safely, and there are examples of exercises to begin with.
