Works well very happy

I was expecting these to be like all the other low cost crimpers, namely ok but a bit fiddly and inconsistent. But these are nothing like that! Easy to use and so far completely reliable crimps, and even with the tiny 1mm pitch connectors, the crimp tool securely fastens the wire and then releases the crimped terminal afterwards (unlike many others where you have to try to gently prise the crimped pin out of the tool, and end up damaging it). In addition, the selection of pins and housings included are also decent quality, and to top it off, the case it all comes in actually keeps the tiny pins separate! I will be buying one of the other sets with the larger capacity crimper too…

To be honest I just wanted a simple crimping tool quickly, and this was one of the cheapest available (the branded ones on RS will cost this much for just the die set). I was expecting cheap and cheerful, barely functional. I'm very pleasantly surprised! The mechanism is smooth, the grip is comfortable, and it also comes with an adjustable tension and quick release. One of the real perks though is the case it comes with - its a very nice two-tray setup, which fits the crimper in the top and a set of compartments below for crimps (with removal dividers). It also comes with a boatload of different crimps and housings (although I tend to just use JST this was a neat surprise and I imagine I'll use them on occassion). The construction of the case is also good, and it holds the compartments well - everything was still sorted and organised after shipping, whereas some of the other plastic boxes will 'blend' compartments if you shake hard enough. So in conclusion, I'm very pleased with this purchase and would very much recommend.

I thought it would be a bit on the poor quality side, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was made. Works very well crimping the very small terminals too. Recommended

I found it really hard to get the tiny crimp parts aligned properly and kept dropping them. Magnetic head may have helped here

No complaints, the crimper works great, nice and organized and comes in a convenient case so it'll all stay together, also includes a booklet with some information regarding wire sizes and stuff.

This is a very nice kit to make custom wiring connectors. It includes many different wire count connectors for different needs, from 2 up to 16. You do have to pay special attention to which metal pin/pocket you're using so that the assembled connectors work as expected, but it just takes a bit of focus to keep it straight. The included crimper has multiple sizes for the different gauges of wire, even though the pins are all the same size. This ensures none are over or under crimped. The instructions are a bit jumbled, with English and German(?) being right next to each other in each section. But the pictures help to clear up the process. One thing that's mentioned in the instructions, but isn't included in the kit, is the pronged tool to remove installed pins from the connector body. So be sure you are keeping track of what goes where, because undoing it won't be easy without that tool, or something similar.

Dit is een heel mooi en degelijk gemaakte tang. Het is even priegelen om die kleine terminals goed aan je kabel te krijgen. Ik gebruik daar een loep lamp voor. De set bevat heel veel fijne connectoren maar ik merk dat ik er toch altijd weer meer typen nodig heb dus er zal neg wel weer zo'n stetje komen.
