ThuleAllTrail Men's Hiking Backpack

I used to rate this 3 stars but after my backpacking trip decided to change it to 5 since my main issues with it weren't as big of a problem as I thought they'd be. I hiked most of my Half Dome hike with this pack and it was great. The pack fit me perfectly at the maximum adjusted torso length of 21.5" even though my torso is 19" (I'm 6'0" and 185 lbs).Pros:-Very durable material-Simple design and fashionable-Comfortable and (somewhat) nice adjustments -- see below-Seemingly waterproof or at least water resistant w/o the rain cover-Well-hidden hole for hydration bladder hose and nice pouch (see below)Cons:-My torso is 19" and this supposedly supports up to 22" -- yet the hip strap doesn't fully reach my hips AND its only adjustable up to 21.5". This ended up not being a huge deal because once the backpack is packed and has some weight in it the hip strap reaches around my waist fine at the maximum length. **This could be a problem with people who have torsos bigger than 19". Remember the hip straps are supposed to hug your hips, not your stomach.-I didn't find any use of the side zipper for the main pouch and ended up just zip-tying the zippers together (not a big deal tbh)-Hydration bladder might be squished by your gear if you pack this full (maybe just a problem with hydration bladders in general -- just an observation). There is a nice slot for it.

This is certainly not an ultralight backpack, but perfect for my needs. I occasionally take my family on short backpacking trips for camping and holds everything we need and more. I also have ultralight backpacks when it’s warranted but for a traditional backpack it’s super durable and can handle lots of weight. Smart design with multiple zippers, straps for exterior storage and comfortable straps. You can’t go wrong. It even comes with a rain cover. Thule for the win!

Start out with the only negative. The main compartment zipper can be a little challenging to zip based on the design of the compartment.Plenty of storage, and it's a light pack. Feels like it will last. Love how i can put my hiking sticks on the sides for easy access. I wish it came with a hydration pack; i had to buy that separate and it worked fine. Love how adjustable this is, with the shoulder straps and straps around the hips. This will be one of my go to bags for traveling, not just hiking.

I used this backpack in an extended tour across SE Asia (Thailand, Cambodia, Korea) and it was the perfect bag for me. The size easily held everything I needed, was comfortable on extended hikes or long rides on public transit, and fit in the overhead bin on the flights I took. The bag took a beating and is still in great shape. I love this bag!

I’ve had one long, overnight hike with this pack. Initial impressions:StableStill trying to get the fit right, but it’s easily adjustable. Was carrying nearly 40lbs in rough terrain so maybe it’s more of that.Seems well built.The color, which should be the least of my concerns, is green with a shine to it. Wish it was more of a muted color.Will update after I’ve dialed the pack in.

Wow what a great pack! Got this for my sons Boy Scout hikes. It holds everything and then some, without being too big. The hip and shoulder straps are great well made. Comes with a rain cover.

I've taken this pack out on a few solid day hikes with gear now and after putting it through some miles I can honestly say it's a solid pack. I'm most excited for my son to start hiking with it next year because it's adjustable and a at 45L is a bit small for the gear I typically carry but should be great for him to start with at a bit over 5ft and grow with him for the next few years. It's easy to adjust and it stays where you put it. It's a bit hot/sweaty on the back but it rides well and protects the bag and bladder with the frame so you aren't squshy or heating up your water because it's right on your back which is a plus to me. The pockets are well done with lots of space but some good dividers to keep things somewhat contained without too many stuff sacks. I was worried about the large vertical zipper and what would happen if it blew out on the trail but the design with snaps and compression straps is really well thought out so that no one failure anywhere on this pack would leave you stranded. The top flap/hood has some good storage for what you need to keep on top but secure and there is an outside pocket for a windshirt or rain gear or lunch or other things you want to get at without a bunch of zippers or straps. Side pockets hold a 32oz water bottle easily and it's 95% coverage so it's not falling out or getting snagged but you can get to it on the go. I personally found the hiking stick holder to be useless but it comes off easily and has some other accessories that can take the spot that aren't to pricey. Integrated rain fly is nice and it's only clipped in so it's easy to replace if it gets damaged. Overall I'm really impressed with this pack for the price point and think it's going to get a lot of miles!

Sehr durchdachter Wanderrucksack, mit viel Stauraum.

Es una mochila práctica, cómoda y resistente. Esta mochila en concreto aún no ha sido usada, pero tengo la versión de 35 l de mujer que usé para hacer el camino De Santiago y quede encantada. Ahora esta será usada para lo mismo por mi marido.Lo que no encuentro práctico es el modo de sujetar los bastones en el accesorio lateral de la cintura, aunque hay que reconocer que es ideal poder liberarte de los bastones puntualmente, para hacer fotos, comer mientras caminas…, etc.

Ein hervorragender Rucksack, mit durchdachten Details. Sowohl die vordere Tasche, als auch das Hauptfach verfügen über einen Reißverschluss an der Seite. So kommt man schnell an das Gepäck. Da hat jemand mitgedacht! Super verarbeitet und sehr gut und einfach einstellbar. Kann ich nur empfehlen.
