Very few bands have managed to switch direction so successfully as Dr Hook. Starting out in the 60s as a bunch of self-confessed “hippie stoners”, they are now best remembered for a run of smooth, honey-sweet hits throughout the 1970s and 80s.Subsequent re-releases, film soundtracks and cover versions have kept the music of Dr Hook front and centre - as you can hear on this diverse and engaging collection.
