Not perfect, but definitely worth it.
Usage:I’ve had had this phone mount for a few weeks now while I deliver food for door dash. I use it constantly for about 8hrs a day 6 days a week. My phone is on the entire time with the DD application open as well as navigation and either music or podcasts. I am currently using an iPhone 11 (non pro). The wireless charging not only keeps the battery percent afloat but it surpasses that despite all the applications and constantly taking the phone on/off.The magnet that it gives you has been fine for me. My case is fairly thin so once it’s on it’s on. The occasional hiccups where it falls is mainly on roads with significant damage. The main reason for the phone falling is vibration rather than one big bump, at least in my experience.Overall I’m glad I purchased it. It makes grab and go so much easier with the magnet and no cable directly charging my phone.

So close!
This is a great product. But dang, they sure missed a really great opportunity. Let me explain. The mount is set up such that it can mount on the windshield and hang down, or on the dash, and arch up and over. The window mount works perfectly fine, based on the curve of the neck (for lack of a better description). The miss is when mounting on the dash. The arch of the neck is sorta counter-intuitive, and ultimately leaves a lot of torque on the base of the unit. Now, granted, the base is excellent, as it has a very sticky pad, in addition to a suction action for a very secure fit, but the joint of the arm and the base is kept in place with plastic teeth that allow you to loosen, adjust, and tighten. The plastic teeth will eventually wear down, but even that isn't the biggest issue. The problem is that the teeth are only on one side of the arm's base, and the base's mount point. This is unfortunate because the bolt that holds the two pieces together can be unscrewed, and you can flip the arm around to achieve a more appropriate arch, but the teeth then no longer connect as one set is on the left side, and the other set is on the right side.If your dash can provide a stopper to prevent the arm from slipping into an undesirable angle, then you're ok.It would be nice if that part was toothed (?) on both sides, and was made out of metal. Doesn't even need to be industrial strength, but the plastic teeth will wear away.I bought this to replace my NeotrixQI Wireless Car Charger which has just become crap. It doesn't hold my phone well enough and has to attach to my windshield. I didn't realize what a problem this was until summer rolled around and I started using a sun shield. I also tried the PITAKA Magnetic Wireless Charging Car Mount, but the arm was also not ideal.Anyway, I think I'll keep this one and see how it goes. The companion case (iPhone XS) is nice, I think I like it better than the NeotrixQI case.

The best car mount option for me!
The BEST car holder I've ever had! If you're phone has wireless charging capabilites this magnetic option is the best solution I've found if you don't use your CD player much.I've tried other other products that charge and hold my phones over the last few years and this product is the best I've found! I've had wireless charge phones (all LG) for many years. Now I'll tell you my Pros and Cons of the ones I've tried. All my prior holders were non-magnetic so they relied on the side tabs you had to use two hands to open apart and then squeeze to hold your phone in place. And you had to connect your USB cable each time. So time-consuming and sometimes frustrating and awkward fighting those two things!Car vent holders: I didn't like that it got hot over the winter when the heater was on and it covered the much needed cool air flow during the summer. And if use your GPS quite a bit you are very limited in the adjusting the viewing angles. My car vents are great for air but the angles and location of the vents weren't good for viewing my phone at all. My phone would sit at odd angles to hard see clearly.Car cup mount: the one's that sit in the cup holders were too low are when using GPS and they take up a cop holder which I use a lot of.Sticky dashboards or suction cup: eventually fall off. And the glass suction ones blocked my views and and eventually fall off during the winter when the suction fails or falls off because of condensation. The CD slot option for me is the best solution. I listen to a lot of music but my car reads the 32GB memory stick via its USB port. My music files are MP3 so can easily have 500 songs on my memory stick. And I have 4 sticks I swap. If I want to listen to a CD it's not hard at all to remove this device from the port. But 98% of the time I listen via the USB stick or via Bluetooth.About the actual device. The build quality is excellent. It's well-designed in that's it clean looking, not that many parts and the parts are all intuitive. The parts are easy to understand and use. The parts are solid and not flimsy. The design is not honkingly huge which I like. I don't want a monstrous gadget taking up space like other holders I've had in the part. The charging portion is excellent! It seems to charge as fast as a direct USB cable. The instructions are easy to follow and the magnetic alignment works perfectly. Once the phone is magnetic mated, it starts to charge immediately. A godsend - it all happens in half a second. On my car the location of my stereo/CD slot is near the top of the dashboard height so it's at a perfect height for me. Great for GPS. It does not black my windshield view. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the magnetic feature because it's easy to pop off and on with one hand. And my phone always starts charging immediately when mated magnetically. No more squeezing or adjusting side tabs or grips to attach and remove your phone, connect the USB cable to phone, like in the past holders I've had. All of which required two hands. It might sound like a minor inconvenience but in day to day use its so much less of a headache by just grabbing your phone or popping it back on the magnetic plate than squeezing those damn side tabs with two hands and connecting the charging cable. Even if your phone is not wireless charging enabled, get a magnetic mount - it is a huge game changer! It's so much easier to deal with. It's actually more of a pleasure feeling that magnetic 'click'. Those two-handed other methods are so good to say goodbye to!Also because it mounts solidly to the holder I can actually easily tap on the phone to call or press phone menus. I use to have one of those holders that were were on the long bendable gooseneck tubes but during driving the phone bounced around too much, making it sometimes hard to see. Also the gooseneck tubes would bend when I'd connect or remove the phones and I'd have to readjust it. A pain!CONS: The magnetic plate is too big in my opinion. I had to find a new case that was fully flat on the back so the magnetic plate had a good unimpeded surface to attach too. And the magnetic piece is ugly but I knew that would be a given. I know XVIDA sells cases with the magnets integrated in the shell but does make any versions for the LG brand. And the ones they do make are black. They should make brighter colors which I prefer because I'm constantly misplacing my phone and it's so much easier to see and find a bright colored case. Also I personally don't like the huge light-up X that lighted up the base of the charger. It's just too big and glaringly bright at night when I don't need the holder or hold my phone or to charge my phone when it's in my pocket. . A much smaller X or a discreet light up dot would suffice. I personally would just remove the light up option altogether. The magnetics on the plate on your phone easily clicks and aligns your phone to the mount each time anyway. Also I wish they sold extra magnetic plates in case I want to change my case. Where can I buy those?

Somewhat disappointed
The cooling fan in the charger has never worked. This was one of the main reasons I went with this product, and that has been a significant disappointment. As for the rest everything else functions it is easy to attach and detach the phone and the phone charges like it is supposed to. Just the cooling fan is not working the phone gets hot enough when running gps intense APPs I was hoping this would help reduce the additional heat generated from charging. Very disappointed.

Works a treat
Very secure mount, charges iPhone X effectively. Perhaps most importantly, unlike a bargain Qi car charger I originally bought, does not overheat the phone.
