I spent far too long researching which nail clippers to get. I stumbled across these while looking for others that were recommended by Reddit, and these were like an eighth of the price. I decided to buy both just to give these a try, because… why the heck not? At least one of them should be usable. The kit came with a leather pouch, the clippers, and a glass nail file. I’ve always hated filing my nails until using this file; it’s a texture thing. The paper board files feel disgusting - they’re essentially sandpaper. The glass nail file is fantastic!The clipper works really well - the blades are super sharp and cut evenly and don’t cause any cracking or splitting. The pin to hold the two sides together seems to be placed well so as to keep the blades flush. Unlike the style that has a single pin in the middle to serve as a fulcrum, these seem like they will actually hold up to the test of time. If anything changes, I’ll update this review!

Great looking set but quality is not much better than dollar store equivalent. I have to use toe nail clippers to cut finger nails. Glass file works well.

As I have aged taking care of my toes has become more and more difficult. I have a hammer toe that causes the nail on one toe to lean over and cut the toe next to it. I am trying to identify nail clippers that work well to keep the nails short. These are good and come in a nice little pouch with a nail file. Work fine for my fingernails and are serviceable for my toenails. I think they are a good design with a unlike the usual way to get the necessary leverage to cut nails. I still have problems with trimming my toenails, but I think that is just the way it is going to be for me just another aggravation of aging.

These are terrible! I tried clipping one nail and it tore the nail. I have a 30 year old rusty nail clipper that does a significantly better job. I can’t believe anyone buys these. Also, not sure how these are German. The package clearly says “Made in China”
