Mr. Grumpy Nails Fatherhood (Mr Men for Grown Ups) : Liz Bankes, Lizzie Daykin, Sarah Daykin, Roger Hargreaves, Roger Hargreaves: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Great little hardbacked Mr Men book - Bought this for fathers day but, would be great for any Dads birthday or just as a nice thankyou present. I've sneaked a peak (before the big day) and couldn't put it down it is very funny and so far I think my 8 year old daughter will also find it amusing when she gives it to her dad and seeing him chuckle too. Was surprised to see it was a hardback book so nice quality not like the flimsy children's books. Highly recommend it. Great stocking filler too for Christmas. Review: Great value - Great condition.

Thumbs up
Thought this was a funny gift for my husband, brought as a little something for father's day. Quite funny... And sure most parents can relate to some of the story 😂.

Good for seasoned dads
I wanted this for a first time father but the story is better suited to a father with children who are toddlers or school age rather than babies. The story is quite good / funny.

Great Father’s Day gift
I love these Mr men books for adults. I read all the books as a kid as did my own children. Bought as part of a Father’s Day gift for a grumpy daddy and I’m sure it will be a hit.

Great Book
A Mr Man book for adults. In the traditional layout of a Mr Man book, we all know and love and using the characters we grew up with, but this time the story is for Adults and its funny. A great touch. This book is hardback.

I feel this book had potential but didn’t quite hit the mark.
Mr. Grumpy doesn’t think he’s a grumpy dad. He runs around after his children, taking them to parties and swimming, that is until his eldest daughter pushes his buttons because she wants what her friends have, a computer and phone at eight-years-old. When he snaps and yells about what he had in his day he realises he is grumpy and decides to do something about it. He texts all his friends and asks them out to the pub but they are all too busy, that is until three months later when they have managed to plan a night out together. Mr. Grumpy Nails Fatherhood is part of a series of Mr. Men & Little Misses for grown-ups. I reviewed Little Miss Busy Surviving Motherhood last week and laughed along with it and enjoyed the story. I could also nod along in agreement. This book didn’t quite live up to the Little Miss book. The plot is essentially a father realising that times have changed and wanting to relive his youth so arranges a night out clubbing but the dads all realise they are too tired to last the night and that they prefer spending time with their families. Having been married for nearly eighteen-years and know a lot of married couples I’ve never once met a father who felt like the solution to feeling old is to go clubbing. Buying lots of merchandise from old movies, gadgets or even a sports car/motorbike are the kinds of things I’ve seen men do. I feel this book had potential but didn’t quite hit the mark. The artwork by Roger Hargreaves is amazing as always and there is a lot of text so worth the price if you think this would make a great gift for a man in your life or even a Secret Santa gift.

stupid story that basically says Mr Grumpy hates being a dad, his kids are apathetic millenials and everyone is pretty much a jerk. I wanted to return this book but they don’t even want it back!
