50 years after the most terrifying horror film shocked the world, Blumhouse and director David Gordon Green bring a nightmarish new chapter, The Exorcist: Believer. Since his wife's death, Victor has raised his daughter Angela alone. After Angela and her friend return from a three-day disappearance with missing memories, they begin displaying frightening behavior. Victor's best hope is to find the only person who has seen anything like this before: Chris MacNeil, whose haunting experience with her daughter Regan may be the key to combating ultimate evil. Review: You have to get this if you were an Exorcist fan - I just want to say I know none of you know me but you have to have to own this. Trust me you’ll thank me. I also have to say this was a great movie. Loved the plot and cast Review: Two for the price of one - Not very scary, but still quite entertaining. Having Ellen Burstyn in it was a nice touch. The final scene put a smile on my face and a tear in my eye. Choices had to be made -- one near the beginning and another near the end. When two exorcisms were necessary, the local priest was not given permission to perform either one. I think this was a successful end to the Linda Blair/ Exorcist franchise.

A Visually Stunning Yet Uneven Horror Experience
The Blu-ray edition showcases the movie’s impressive CGI and special effects, which are truly a highlight. The high-definition format enhances the visual experience, making the eerie and dark scenes even more immersive12. The storyline follows Victor and his daughter Angela, who, along with her friend Katherine, experiences terrifying supernatural events after a mysterious disappearance. While the plot has potential, it often feels uneven and lacks the consistent tension that made the original Exorcist so gripping12. The performances, particularly by Ellen Burstyn and Ann Dowd, are strong, but some characters, like Victor, could have been more convincingly portrayed1. Despite its flaws, The Exorcist: Believer delivers some genuinely scary moments and a solid audio experience with its Dolby Atmos track, which adds to the overall atmosphere12. The Blu-ray also includes several bonus features, such as behind-the-scenes footage and commentary, which provide interesting insights into the making of the film1. Overall, while The Exorcist: Believer may not fully live up to the legacy of its predecessor, it is still worth a watch for its visual effects and the effort to bring something new to the franchise. Recommended for fans of horror looking for a modern twist on a classic tale.

Fair movie
Not the best exorcist movie but not the worst one either. It had great potential but wasn’t utilized to its fullest. Not going to spoil it for anyone that hasn’t watched it yet.

creepy, not as impactful as original
All in all, creepy, not as impactful and scary as the original "Exorcist". Good for a rainy day viewing, with a few curtains open!
