Great price for an accessory that might one day can help you survive.
We love it. The only thing is I ordered an 8 so that it will be more of a "middle" for both mine and my husband's wrist size. But it turns out I might need to order the kid's version. It was too big for me. While my husband's paracord bracelet fits just fine. But I can order again for that. However, I have noticed that there is an issue with the compass. I have read that in reviews here. To fix it I have tried using magnets. Sometimes it will point North and most times it won't. I have placed it flat on a table to make sure it's not me. But it seems silly to have to do that -- I mean, where will you find a flat surface while you're in the outdoors? It's also silly that I would have to figure out where East, West, North, South are before I can figure out if the bracelet is correct. It really defeats the purpose. It is for that reason that I'm giving this a 4 out of 5 stars. It might be defective. And if they somehow send me a new one to replace this "defective" one then I will update my review. For now it will stay a 4 -- which I think is already generous -- because there are other things I found on a negative side. The whistle as reviewed by other people is so hard to use. I was able to whistle through it, but I can imagine how it can be very frustrating. It's like learning a new musical instrument. It was too cumbersome. But for the price, I'm letting it go. It's still good to have if you could learn to make it to work. Just be careful not to faint from losing all your breath trying to blow to it. I can't say anything about the fire starter because I haven't tried it yet. But it seems like it would work. The serrated knife it's sharp enough to cut through the rope. That was the one that I really like about it. The clasp for the bracelet was a bit hard to close on your own -- You really have to line up the fire starter and small knife to make sure it closes. However, for the price and just for the paracord and knife... I think it's still good to have.Update: 10/03/17I actually received my replacement about a few days ago. It wasn't because it took them so long. I had been busy with work that when they reached out to me I wasn't been able to respond to it right away. They offered to replace the bracelet that had defective compass. I thought that was really nice because I was really planning on buying another pair since the pair that I bought was a bit loose. My husband did like it and he started wearing it even with the defective compass. He rarely wears anything on his wrist --- yeah not even a watch. I was hesitant to buy another pair from this seller since I got defective ones. But they truly got my trust back. I have changed my star-rating from a 4-star to a 5-star since the item now really works properly. I like that the seller personally checked and see if the items were good before sending it again.. I know because they had placed some sort of additional sticker and you could see it right away that North really pointed to north as soon as I got it out of the package. That wasn't the case with the ones that I receive first. North kept pointing to anywhere but north. lol Anyway, the only thing that I truly want to add in this review is the size. Their size is pretty accurate. I have very small wrists. I measured mine and it seemed like I would fit the kid's size instead of the smallest adult size. I didn't really believe it so I ordered the regular size that would fit both my husband's and my wrists. It was about a size to 2 sizes to big for me. So just a tip!! follow the size chart. Thanks again to the seller. However, I do want to say that it would be good if you do check it before you send it. It will be better for your business and it will not take away so much from your profit. Additionally, I know that it cannot be avoided to get defective products from your manufacturer... some manufacturers should give you credits for those... Or maybe you can sell it at a very low price. Some of the people who buy your bracelet is not really buying it just for the compass. The paracord, the small knife and fire starter come in handy too! It's just a suggestion. Thanks again for being fair and just!

Functional, highly adaptable...and FUN!
This 5-in-1 paracord survival bracelet is compact, handy, multi-functional and potentially life-saving. It's attractive enough to wear on any casual outing, and it's surprisingly great fun to use. What a dizzying array of applications for this bracelet...at least 45 according to the manufacturer, including some you'd never think of: using it for a clothesline; as a pet collar; and my personal favorite, "tie criminals or intruders to a tree stake or chair". Who knew? =)Packaged together with the bracelets (I ordered the 2-bracelet option in black and olive) is a handy instruction manual with step-by-step directions for the compass, the fire starter, and how to use whistle survival codes. I learned a lot just by reading the brochure -- you'll want to save that paper & bring it with you on your adventures in order to get the maximum benefit. The fire starter works brilliantly...the very first time I struck it, a good-sized ball of fire floated down to the ground. I've been practicing, and you'll want to get the hang of it before you trek into the woods or up a mountain. Strike it correctly over a generous handful of dryer lint, layered with a few tiny dry twigs, and voilà -- you'll have a small fire that you can easily build on. Read the manual on this feature, as it has very useful tips and tricks. The compass is very small, but accurate. (I just need to make sure I have my reading glasses if I get stranded!) The compass instructions are very helpful -- knowing how to use one is critical, so practice in a familiar area until you're proficient at finding your way. There's an emergency knife, which also functions as the striker for the magnesium rod. The whistle is practical, and in my opinion vital for solo adventures.I obviously love this product...it's so interesting and entertaining to use. On a more serious note, it could one day save your life. Overall a truly excellent tool to add to your gear. Highly recommended!Follow-up note: the bracelet arrived earlier than the promised date in perfect condition, packaged well and with detailed instructions. I had no issues whatsoever with the seller, who kindly followed up with a polite note inquiring whether I received it and if I had any questions. I'll be researching and buying more of their products; more information can be found at [...]
