At $5 per door, to fix Mercedes doors to close like a Mercedes????? Fabulous. Plastic, not rubber nor anything else but I needed only 2 doors so have 2 spares. HUSKY brand socket for unscrewing bolts was recommended and that worked like a charm. Penetrating oil the night before. SOOOooo satisfying to fix doors this way. I had thought and it was previously done.....by jacking up door while unbolting those huge bolts that hold the entire door on. It was good to be able to get this unusual part from Amazon. It was the right part and got the job done for me.

The price is great. The process to replace them was easy however, the fit was not perfect. I needed to trim the tabs underneath the striker so that the doors would open correctly. the doors closed fine but, the got stuck on the tab when trying to open the doors.

Perfect piece. Installed on my 1979 300TD. I noticed a 1 star review where the person thought this should be rubber, they are mistaken. Bargain item, to fix your door striker by only replacing the part of it that fails. Love the proper sound of a well fit door.

Poor quality so each was slightly different. Description said they were rubber (like original). They are hard plastic. Tried multiple ones. None would allow the door to even close much less latch. I ended up buying the whole striker and moving just the latch portion of the new striker to the original striker. That worked although now I have to use slightly more force than ideal to get the door to fully latch. Acceptable for a 40 year old car.

These tabs are hard plastic, just like the originals. They were never rubber... ;)
