Bang & Olufsen delivers a superb evolutionary upgrade
My first experience with B&O headphones was the wired Earset in the 90’s. The sound, comfort and design was so amazing that it continues to be my go-to device two decades later (yes, they’ve lasted that long!). I have several in ear buds that sound good, but I am not always a fan of the in ear feel and noise cancelation effect. While searching for an alternative, I came across the new wireless Earset. With the Amazon price being about 60% below MSRP I was willing and eager to give them a try. They did not disappoint.Sound: From a sound standpoint, the Earset is exceptional. That said, there is a certain amount of subjectivity to that statement. B&O devices tend to produce incredible bass and a slightly warmer sound. Some may prefer their sound to be slightly more crisp. While I’m not a fan of electronic adjustments, the Beo Play app supports the Earset and is super easy to use. It allows you to adjust the listening mode to your preferred mix. I tend to leave it in the center, but that again is personal preference.Comfort: In terms of comfort, I love the fit and have no issues with it. The retro foam pads contributes to a secure fit and blocks out a reasonable amount of ambient noise. The adjustable earhook gives them even greater stability. Even during moderate exercise they’ve never come off and don’t feel like they will. These things are fairly hefty, but they are so well supported that there is no discernible comfort issues. They quickly become unnoticeable.Phone quality: Several reviews criticize the phone quality. Again, I have had no reported issues with this. I’ve even asked callers and they could not detect any flaws in quality. Several reviews also criticize the length of the cord connecting the two earphones. I have found this to be adequate. If it feels too snug going along the back of your neck, simple run it in front. But for me, the length is fine. While the mic is not right next your mouth, apparently that’s not necessary. Call quality is fine and Siri is happy.Controls: I agree with some reviews that say the 3 buttons on the mic/control rod are too small. You do need to rub your finger over it a bit to be sure you are about to press the correct one. I wish B&O had thought that one through a little better. But after a little practice, I seem to have the hang of it now.Build quality: The design and build quality is amazing. Not just from the physical standpoint but from the sound engineering perspective, as well. I expect these will continue to function well and sound great for some time to come.Summary: While it’s true that I really wanted to like these given my long-term relationship with their ancestor, they far more than met my expectations. They are certainly a great value at the current selling price. The battery life is rated at 5 hours, but it can drop to 4 depending on your listening volume. I’ll still need my EarPods and charge case for long airline travel. But for a single charge, 4 to 5 hours isn’t horrible. I also wish they came with a better pouch. The previous set has a beautiful molded leather case; this new model comes with a cloth pouch that I will probably not trust for throwing in my messenger bag. Overall, I buy earphones to enjoy a true music immersion experience. For me, the comfort, technology and sound quality of the Earset delivers like no other. There are simply not enough annoyances for me to rate these anything less than a solid 5 stars.

Good earphones. Battery won’t last long enough.
Great earphones, but the battery won’t last long. The sound quality is super good! I bought them for my dad and he likes how aesthetic they look.

Best ear set I've ever owned (Over B&W brand)
Sound is distinct, well defined. I listened to a Dolby Atmos demo with these and was impressed with sound, quality build and the reputation of Bang and Olufsen.

authentic and working well
I was worried these would not be authentic, but product arrived new in box, emailed B&O for authenticity, good purchase, at a great price.

I really like these!
So. I have the B&O E8's and have been very happy with them except for the wear that I get on the eartips. I used the E8's to walk my dog and talk on the phone outside daily. The Earsets are the perfect solution to my needs. I can still hear my surroundings yet I can hear calls clearly and music clearly. I actually think these sound better than the E8's but that's a subjective thing since I always listen to my E8's with the transparency turned on (don't want to get hit by cars). I'll keep the E8's around for flights and places where I want more isolation but the Earsets are a much better daily choice for me. These fit perfectly over my ears and give great sound and enough environmental sound to stay safe. The loop around the ears as well keeps them in place without that constant "is my expensive earbud about to come crashing onto the pavement" feeling. Buying this additional set of earbuds is going to save lots of money long term as well as I went through a lot of the memory foam E8 eartips.

I think they are great, especially at the price
Lot's of complaints about these. I guess people expect them to sound like $5-10K B&O home speakers. For what they are, I think they sound great. No noise cancelling, so if that is a must-have, look elsewhere. I like that they are open frame and not total in-ear. I wear them for road sports and want to be able to hear the cars around me. You can carry on a conversation with these and still hear the music. As for comfort, they fit fine. All the little up and down and twisty adjustment points make then pleasant to wear. And yes, even with sunglasses on top of them. I like that they have a cord. Makes them much harder to lose. Ever notice how many people are selling a single ear bud?The cord is best in front. The plastic they used on it will stick to you neck in the back once you get even slightly sweaty. Then they kind of pull when you turn your head. Yes, the buttons are small and the center one could satnd to be bigger, but you get used to them and how to find them without looking. The batter life is probably not what B&O would like you to believe unless you run them at incredibly low volumes. I think they state 5 hrs, but it is probably more like 3-4. Again, less time if you use mic. But they are simple enough to charge.Look, these are way discounted from the original price, so alot of the complaints about them vanish when you consider how little you spent. I got the brown ones and think they look really classy.

Not impressed even when / especially when I am a fan of the original model
Loved the original design, which is why I ordered this wireless update without even a on-hand trial. Two relatively poor things after few days of use: (1) the control buttons are way too "un-feel-able", it takes quite a lot of effort for me to find the buttons and identify which is which before I can have the right button clicked (and even by these efforts I am not pressing the right button every time); and (2) yes I know it has a cable connecting between the earpieces. I have many such bluetooth headphones. However, this one's cable is way too thick, short, heavy and with signatificant friction. Extra effort is needed for turning the head (I feel my hate every time when turning my head), not to mention sudden fall off of the earpiece because of the pulling of the cable (in terms of weight and friction) even when the earpieces are supposedly holding the front and back of my ears securely, you see how serious the unpleasure is. I loved B&O but hey, what are you guys making in recent years?
