Looks Authentic
What an ingenious creation! This Hide A Key Outdoor Rock Key Holder looks very authentic. I have had these types of hiders/holders before from other stores, and they just looked fake. I have attached a photo of this rock key holder beside an actual genuine rock in my yard. You really cannot tell much difference. The rock key holder is easy to open and the latch stays secure. I have opened and closed it at least 20 times as of this review and have had no issues with it. It has also been outside my home for 3 weeks, and it has not faded and seems to withstand the elements well. My husband is going to be ordering more of these because he is impressed with their craftsmanship. He enjoys establishing geocaching sites, and he says this will make an excellent holder for geocaching.

looks authentic but hard to open
This rock looks authentic outside in the front planter, but the little plastic door on the hidden compartment on the bottom of the rock is held closed by just a tiny shred of plastic that was so hard to move that I had to use a knife to wedge it open to first put the key inside it. If I do accidentally lock myself outside and need to get into this spare key compartment, I'm not sure how I'll be able to get it open again to get at the key. (I practiced a couple times but the tiny shred of plastic was still so tight that I needed a knife to move that tiny plastic "latch". Also the door to the compartment is smaller than all of the cutout space and is just big enough to sit barely on the edge of the openings frame to cover the open compartment. I really hope bugs won't be able to sneak into the sides of the compartment that contains my key, I'm concerned it will be easier for them to get into that than it is for me (but I can't be certain that'll happen yet)..
