This is THE book for any aspiring CCNA’s
Comprehensive and deep subject knowledge very concise and to the point which is refreshing considering other books in this category are full of fluff. The authors experience shines through on each page. I feel confident just after completing Chapter 7 I bought the full network simulator that goes hand in hand with each chapter of this book. Super confident going into the test in a couple of months. Can’t wait for Vol2 to arrive. I will devour that book as well. You just can’t put it down once you start it’s that good.

Overall the book is not very bad at explaining how network works to beginners. But I do find the order of some concepts getting explained quite messed up . Like the author don’t even bother telling readers what area is first before diving into OSPF area and the functions of routing protocol is never mentioned until chapter 21, but are in the chapter 3 problem set. And some configuration chapters can be also confusing like those in the IP routing part. I guess people just have to watch some YouTube videos and ask GPT to fully understand the book. And there are some mistakes here and there, like wrong ip addresses and router references.

Ich habe mir das Buch gekauft, um neben Cisco Networking Academy, auch noch tiefer lernen kann. Das Buch ist praktisch wie die Kurse Introduce Networking, Switching Routing and Wireless etc. pp Lediglich gehen einige Kapitel tiefer hinein. Neben den Texten und Beschreibungen und Erklärungen gibt es auch viele Bilder mit Netzwerk Topologien, die das Netz schön veranschaulichen. Ich kann jedem das Buch empfehlen, der schon CCST Networking bei Cisco bestanden hat. Erst dann lohnt sich das Buch.
