Great replacement
This rod was ideal for my tank and works well

Most common fault on an immersion heated is a failed thermostat.
This Backer thermostat has a tapered point - what that means is it can fit most immersion heaters. I've bought three of these over the years - if a thermostat lasts about two years that is good value for money considering they are mass produced and subject to 3kw load. The third one I bought I'm still keeping as a spare years after I fitted number two. A plumber will tell you you need a new element - always try a new thermostat first, a new thermostat might cost you about £20 but you can but an element and thermostat as a unit for about £26.

Misleading photo of product
It arrived very quickly. But it didn't look like the photo on Amazon, which matched the one I was looking to replace. I assume this is because it is a more up to date version of the same model, as it had the same model number, but I found this very misleading. In the end, we didn't need to replace the thermostat, but have kept it as a spare, so I can't comment on if it works or not.

This has be working successfully for many months . It was easily installed and is easily reset if necessary.

Faulty
Supplied by "Delightful-UK VAT Registered" on 28 April 2021. Since recently fitted. Even though these are apparently "calibrated" they clearly are not. The temperature cut out is way too low (not 65 degrees). Even on maximum the temperature cuts out at 45-50 degrees. My suspicion when initially received was these items were not new either. This has now cost me multiple electrician visits & additional costs.
