These are the best shoes I’ve ever had for walking. Really waterproof, have a barefoot type feel, and a lovely wide toe area allowing the foot to spread naturally.Only struggle is the collar is quite tight to actually get your foot in (fine once it’s in). Superbly comfortable.

I don't understand why Merrell calls these barefoot on their website.They are cushioned, with arch support and a rather narrow toebox - literally the opposite of what a barefoot shoes is.The cuff is a bit tight but I'd happily put up with that if these were barefoot shoes.The big toe guard presses on the toe (the toe box is not tall enough).

I was a bit worried about the tight cuff and whether I'd be able to get the shoes on, but actually I have found the cuff to be ok, if I slide my foot in when sitting down, then pull up the cuff at the heel when standing up, it goes on ok! The size is a wee bit snug - I like to wear medium thickness sealskin socks for running across a moor in the winter and its a bit too tight on one foot and ok - just on the other foot. i think a half size up would be ideal ( but that was a lot more expensive!) Im hoping they will stretch over time. However, overall I am pleased with them ( only worn indoors so far), I like how they look, the sole is not too thin, the toebox is ok - could be a bit more generous but overall i'm happy. Paid £85 and that feels about right for what they are worth

Ja, es stimmt: man braucht einen Schuhlöffel, um sie anzuziehen zu können, aber dann sind es mit Abstand die besten Barfuß Schuhe, die ich je hatte.Ich trage seit vielen Jahren Merell und finde diese wirklich großartig! Besonders zum Wandern!!!

No se pueden calzar, durisima la tobillera.

Tenía algo de miedo después de leer las reseñas a adquirir estas zapatillas. Me probé las de una compañera y me decidí a comprarlas. Suelo calzar un 41 y me pedí un 40.5 de mujer. La zapatilla, una vez puesta, se adapta muy bien al pie, quizás toca algo en el talón, aunque eso puede ser por la forma de mi propio pie. Sí que es algo tedioso el calzarse la zapatilla, pero con paciencia se consigue sin problema. A la hora de andar no se siente como una barefoot al uso, aunque aún no las probé para correr, ni tampoco la calidad del goretex. En definitiva, incómodas de poner pero cómodas de usar, materiales de calidad, precio algo alto para lo que es.
