PreSonus Quantum ES 2 USB-C Audio Interface with Studio One Pro Software

This is a great improvement over the previous USB 96 interface that I was using. Way more controls, very intuitive, and low latency. If I had to find a negative, I would say that the midi interface is not what I expected. Rather than the standard 5 pin connector that you would normally see, this has what appears to be a mini plug. Other than that, it's a great interface.

For the price, you can’t go wrong with this interface. It’s small enough to lug around, has top notch converters and looks nice. While it has a useful auto gain feature, there’s no DSP features.

I am not happy with the ease of use of the product and I am not happy with Presonus customer support either. Standalone mode didnt work out of box, I see the input LEDs wiggling, but the output LED doesnt wigge and I dont hear sound from this mixer. I thus decided to contact Presonus support The first call resulted in the support technician opening a support ticket. Subsequently, I have gone back and forth on the support ticket for a couple of weeks now and they have not sent me simple straightforward instructions to enable standalone mode. They provide a bunch of links and ask me to go look for the answer in there. What is the point of contacting support if the response is to read a bunch of documentation? Can they not type up a simple set of steps (without any links) that will help me fix the problem I have? Case in point - does anyone read documentation for how to operate an iPhone? I am unfortunately outside of the return window so the order is not returnable and Presonus said they wont refund me for this product. Alas, I have to live with this piece of hard-to-use mixer.

Worked perfectly!

There are things I like and things I'm not thrilled with. My last interface was a Presonus 24c. This interface is similar in sound quality but the layout is nicer. The top facing controls are easy to read and adjust while I play. I miss the mixer knob, but I found out how to use the interface in stand alone mode. I can't say anything about the software, I already use Studio One and I wasn't offered a new key. One last thought this interface is being replaced soon. Fender owns Presonus and decided to rebrand in 2026. The new Fender website does not mention this interface.

I'm definitely part of the presonus ecosystem love their products and this interface is good quality and value for the price and easy to use.

Sürücü, yazılım ve donanım oldukça yeterli ve sorunsuz; ancak Universal Control'ün ana paneli biraz karışık, iç içe menüler biraz yorucu. Mikser paneli ise yeterince düzenli. Işık rengini seçme olanağı olsaydı çok güzel olurdu, mavi ışık biraz can sıkıcı. PreSonus'a, Arial denen iğrenç yazı tipini arayüzde de donanımda da kullanmadığı için özellikle teşekkür ediyorum.

Gratamente sorprendido. Calidad, definición, transparencia y alto rango dinámico. Un sistema muy moderno y digital que funciona muy bien. Los previos de una calidad espectacular que al parecer son analógicos, pero controlados digitalmente. Una cosa muy importante tener en cuenta: en iPad Pro y MacBook Air con M2, no necesitas usar la alimentación extra por la entrada USB C auxiliar, pero en los Mac más antiguos si tendrás que alimentarlo además por la conexión USB C auxiliar destinada para esto. Lo bueno que tiene es que por ejemplo puedes alimentarla con un Power Banc si quieres grabar de forma totalmente autónoma en exteriores con un iPad Pro, por ejemplo y así conseguir que te dure más tiempo la batería del iPad.
