My first violin was a mendini mv300. I got it a few months back. It was at a good price. When it was clear to me that I loved playing the violin (or fiddle, if you know what I mean) I decided to upgrade. The Stentor Conservatoire 2 has a good reputation online and this seller had this item at a very good price. Ordered it on a Monday and received it Thursday. I am a beginner player but decided to buy this one instead of the Stentor 2, just to avoid to upgrade again in the future and spend more money... Although seems more for intermediate players,I am really enjoying learning from scratch and find it easier to use. It comes with Pirastro strings which sound much better than ones from some other Stentor models... The case is light but is very high quality and has lots of compartments to keep rosin and other accessories in a safe place... Feels like I gonna have a proper instrument for a long time... Happy days! :)
