Very useful

Good concept but poor quality
The concept is actually very good but the quality of the rubber diaphragms is absolute rubbish, and they get cuts in them too easily. There are 2 spares included in the pack. No prizes for guessing why ‘cause you will definitely need them.

Disappointed
I was disappointed with it. The pads are very easily damaged and i felt they could be made of a stronger material.

Success without a mess!!
I decided to do a complete redecoration of my bungalow and of course, if doing the job right, radiators have to be removed to decorate behind them. Have recently replaced my boiler and placed a new supply of 'inhibitor' into the header tank for my central heating system, I did not want to drain down the system and lose all that costly inhibitor - it lasts for about 10 years from when placed into the header tank. So I decided to find a method of removing each radiator without draining down. During my search I came across this "RADKIT - RK STB - 002" on Amazon. I purchased one of these kits and was able to remove each of my radiators without draining down - in fact I emptied the contents of each radiator into a receptacle and returned the water, together with the inhibitor, back into the header tank - thereby not wasting the expensive content!! The kit is sturdy and has been put away until I require to remove any radiator in the future without draining down. I am exceptionally pleased with this simple, but valuable Radiator removal kit.

A good idea, but I will not be using again
Seemed like a good idea. I tried it but failed miserably and gave up. I will not be trying again. The clamps were not suitable for my radiators.

Good bit of kit
I used this to save draining the radiators when changing all of the thermostatic valves. It worked well but the rubber is very thin so it split twice in changing 10 valves. However, 2 spares were provided in the kit so no problem. I would be extremely nervous if I was stopping off a large radiator at both ends then removing it though!

Very impressed and would recommend
Needed to take off two radiators to decorate and we are really impressed with these clamps. So so simple to use and saved us having to pay a plumber to drain down and refill the system!
