I have Hue bulbs throughout my house and I couldn’t be happier with them. These white ambience lights are great for using in my existing highhats. They give off plenty of light and Philips has tons of light recipes to choose from in their app so you can set the mood according to how you feel. You can also create your own light setting. These light will work with Bluetooth or for a full slate of settings you can connect them with the Hue bridge. If you are going to use more than 10 lights then you must use the bridge. I love these lights and highly recommend them. They aren’t cheap but they are worth it especially if you are just starting out with smart lighting as no other company offers you the quality and variety of lights that Philips does. If you use Apple HomeKit these work great. They also connect to Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control. I personally prefer the security and the user interface of Apple but I have tried it with Alexa as well and was happy with the results. You can’t go wrong with these lights.

Easy install to work with Alexa

I already had the Hue module so I just had to screw in the bulb and add them to the app. Can now adjust lighting and don’t need wire in a dimmer, I can adjust lighting from the app now.

Love these bulbs. I use the Hue bridge and have numerous rooms in the house automated. The bridge also has a long range with some of my bulbs 100 feet away from the bridge. I have been using these since 2017 with only 1 bulb out of around 20 failing.

I love the fact that you can change the amber warmth to, and from the coolness color with ease. The only thing I’ll say is that if you turn the light switch off while it was in the cool color when you go to turn the light switch back on it’s automatically in the warm color so if you want your lights, the cool color but you don’t wanna leave your light on all day to waste, electricity costs, or burn the bulbs out quicker then I recommend putting an echo show, iPod, or iPad next to the light switch so you can turn your bulbs on and off from the app instead of having to go onto your phone and then the hue app from there every single time that part gets kind of annoying.

I picked up these white ambience bulbs so I could adjust the color cast in my office throughout the day. They work pretty well except you have to dim via the app. I have a wall dimmer and if it accidentally gets dimmed the bulbs flicker like crazy. I guess that should have been expected but assumed dimmable meant through standard dimmers too.

I have multiple Hue bulbs in my house and they work well. While they're expensive compared to pretty much everything else out there, they can be integrated into some smart home platforms better than other bulbs. Since these don't use wifi to communicate with the hub, the hub can be hardwired and you don't have to worry about wifi problems. I don't know if this has been fixed/updated yet, but you can't exactly simultaneously control multiple lights fully, which is where a control system comes in and helps.
