This is a great book for Beginners as well for people who want to upgrade from older versions of elasticsearch to 6.0, as ES releases are very frequent and often, coping with new changes(e.g removing multiple mapping types ) while upgrading can be very difficult and at these times books like this are very helpful and handy. The book also throws a good light on usage of kibana , Logstash, Beats and X-Pack.I really liked the book, and it proved very useful to me.

Beginners Guide
The book is very well articulated with simple easy to follow steps and in many cases snapshots have been provided which eased my learning process. The book also provides a real usage of Elastic Stack for a IOT use case which further solidified my understanding.After reading the book, I am very confident in using Elastic Stack at my organization now.

Book met my expectations
As Elasticsearch has become number one search engine and with the rapid adoption of elastic stack for various analytics use cases I was looking for a book which is simple yet covers the required details and help me learn and implement things fast. Thankfully I stumbled upon this book which met my needs and also this book covers the latest version which is very helpful.

Helped me in gearing up for elastic stack
It helps me in gearing up for elasticstack as a beginner.Some of the chapters like kibana, x-pack has been really covered well.

Only theoretical approach and waste of money.
Writer have not co-related with any programming like spring boot or Python with elasticSearch. Only theoretical approach of elastic stack and theory of elastic crud, which is boring and disinterest in reading. Also no any small application for example with any MVC like spring in collaboration with elasticSearch. Only jumping on topic shards , replica, elastic , logstash, kibana. No any real world example. Waste of money and time both.
