The Complete Kabuki: 30th Anniversary Edition Hardcover – February 18, 2025

I started reading Kabuki because I liked his art work and was intrigued. As I got into it and got to meet David a few times I realized this book was all of his talent and life story told through a comic he created himself . This work is not only amazing to read, it's art and beauty is significant and real. David is now sought after for his art in TV and by other comic book colleagues, this is is humble beginning. The book is large and the page quality is superb.

Blown away by the quality

The author in the description is the wrong David Mack and Amazon should fix it

Amazon had great delivery but the product itself has wrong graphic ratio. Compared to the original David Mack edition, this one is stretched horizontally by 10-15% ... everything looks flattened a bit!! This is a blatant mistake from the publisher!

I have loved David Mack and his work for the nearly 30 years this book took to reach my hands. I went to my local comic store and bought the issues as they came out, bought the collected editions, ordered numerous signed prints directly from him, I love his work so much! When this was announced I was so excited because I missed out on the library editions and I always wanted a nicely bound and oversized edition.That said, this book is not the best version of his work. The publisher enlarged the original art but didn't so in a linear fashion, so the images in the book are stretched out wider than they were made taller. It leads to some really weird pages that just look off. The published also chose to crop some of the most iconic images which made me really unhappy with the purchase.I can't believe I'm thinking about returning it, I want to love it so much, but the extra wide images simply aren't to the artists own standards. I wish the publisher either stuck to the original size as they do for most collected editions, or stuck to the same height to width ratio to the images would appear the same only larger.
