These are the most wonderful pruning shears I've ever used. They fit my hand perfectly and are very easy to use with no resistance. They lock and unlock easily. Even though more expensive than other pruning shears, these are well worth the month--every part can be replaced if needed. With good care, these will last forever.

I used these ferociously for months before needing to sharpen them. The smaller handle than the felco 5’s also causes way less blistering (probably the leather handle vs plastic handle too) I definitely got my moneys worth, removing suckers from trees has never gone so smoothely. I also pruned rose bushes, small tree branches, and some overgrown hedge branches. For people that don’t know, you don’t want to use a weed wacker for suckers thicker than 1/8-1/4 inch you want to cut them as deep as you can into the ground and with the cleanest cut possible. This helps the tree conserve water and prevent disease infiltration because a clean cut has the least surface area and the plant can recover the quickest. Sadly at a job site I dropped the shears on the ground and I couldn’t find them. Probably the only con to the amazing leather handle, that it blends in with dirt more than the usual felco red.
