Design and Appearance:While the compass does have a visually appealing antique look, with a brass finish and intricate detailing, this is where the positives end. The aesthetic appeal quickly wears off when faced with the compass’s numerous functional shortcomings. The craftsmanship feels cheap upon closer inspection, with visible seams and uneven finishing.Accuracy and Reliability:The most critical aspect of any compass is its ability to provide accurate directions, and sadly, this Classic Antique Compass fails miserably in this regard. The needle often sticks, making it unreliable for navigation. When it does move, it tends to wobble excessively, taking too long to settle on a direction. This inaccuracy makes it practically useless for any serious navigation tasks, whether hiking, camping, or simply trying to find your bearings.
