PICPortable Mosquito Botanical Repellent​ with 60 Hour Cartridge

I ordered the first unit and noticed the repellent bottle empty. I asked for a replacement and it was shipped right away. The second bottle also is empty. These units must be so old that the repellent has evaporated! Really frustrating as I needed this for a camping trip for this weekend and now I am not able to use it. Will be asking for a refund now!

This little thing is surprisingly effective. I normally use Thermacell, but the Thermacell refills are getting expensive. This is more economical, mainly because the heat source to warm the repellent is rechargeable. Mosquitos and black flies love me, but their love is not returned. This thing helps a lot. It's very lightweight. The repellent refills are about ten bucks each, but they will last many hours. Comes out to about 17 cents an hour, in my experience. The repellent is all natural ingredients like citronella, lemongrass and clove oil, and geroniol from geraniums. It mainly smells like citronella. The rechargeable unit will take about 3 hours to charge, and one charge will last about 5 hours of run time. Easy on/off switch works fine. A blue light indicates if it is running. Super quiet, you can't hear it running so you need that blue light. While you can definitely smell the oils in the repellent, they are not as toxic-smelling as the Thermacell stuff. Be aware that even when this unit is switched off, you will still smell the citronella, etc. oils. When in the car, I unhook the (included) carabiner and put the unit under the seat. But it's not like Thermacell that when it is off you won't smell anything, so be aware of that difference. But I love that I don't have to buy any more butane cartridges! I purchased it at Amazon's competitor that starts with WM only because I needed something that day. But this is 5 bucks cheaper at Amazon. It's a good product, I think you will like it.Postscript: I know some folks say the cartridge is empty, but while they do kinda look almost empty out of the box, I think it's because much of the liquid has already been sucked up into the slow-dispersing wick that is up inside. Even though my cartridges don't look they have much liquid in it, they still last several hours. So appearances can be a bit deceiving. ON ANOTHER NOTE: Don't drop these! I just did, and the port where the cartridge screws into broke, rendering this useless. My fault for dropping so I'm going to buy another one. Just sayin', handle with mindfulness.

I can't say anything about the effectiveness yet as I only received the delivery today.The big joke is the container that contains no liquid. Neither the one supplied (photo left) nor the refill container (photo right) which I ordered separately.Keep your hands off and buy better products.

The media could not be loaded.  I'm not sure if the product itself is defective or just the one I got but this was a let down for me, unfortunately. First, the LED indicator light never worked as you can see from the first photo as well as the video. The power button is glitchy. You have to hold it down for about 5 seconds to get it to turn on (I think anyway because I never could tell the difference in the smell being stronger if it was even working). At times, the power light will blink then turn off on its own (I charged it for about 2 hours so I know that wasn't the problem). I only got it to seem like it was working for about 5 minutes while I was outside yesterday but then I noticed that it used up most of the essential oils that were in the included cartridge (it only came with the one small cartridge) with in that short period of time (refer to second photo)! This is way too highly priced for what you get as well as each extra replacement cartridge that you would have to purchase separately. Unfortunately, I would not get again and can't recommend.

We got this for my daughter to use.It arrives in a box, needing to be charged to full.It seems to be made well.The device itself seems to be strong.The carabiner feels durable.The scent is effective at repelling the mosquitos.The only issue we have with it, is that even when it is off it still has a fairly strong smell which is a little too much when indoors.We would probably buy this again.

Maybe worked for 6 hours. Bottle leaks and comes barely filled. Refills are the same. 1/20th of the bottle is filled. Trash, adjusted for crapflation, feature sucked product.
