Fixed my welding jacket
I was skeptical of which one I should buy. I got the orange handle one. It works great. Put snaps in better than new. Hopefully they stay. They seem of good quality. Overall I’m happy and would buy again. Have to look into extra snaps. Very easy and quite fast once the piece working on is prepped and ready. It’s easy!

Effective and Easy to Use
I bought this for a project that needed spring snaps instead of utility snaps; and once I figured out how to use the pliers, installing the snaps was quick and easy, and produced professional-looking results. The set came with minimal instructions that were just about useless for me, but the images on the Amazon product page provided a helpful illustration of the process. I opted for this particular set over a very similar one because it includes three sizes of snaps, which will come in handy for other projects. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Great product but needs a carrying case with spaces to secure or keep track of the small parts
Awesome machine everything in one space. I wish there was a better way to keep track of the all the little pieces though. You loose one and the machine is useless.

Love this tool but poor instructions.
This is a great get-you-started kit for installing snaps. You get three colors and three sizes of metal snaps along with the setting tool all in one kit. The setting tool has a punch build in so you don't need a separate tool for that step. The business end of the setting tool has two interchangable die sets, one each half of the snap. My only complaint would be the poor instruction sheet, if you've got a mechanical mind you'll sort it out but if not the paper slip in the box is not a lot of help. It fails to clearly show which die set you need for each step of the task and the text is not well translated (what is a "mud" I have to ask!?).

No more hammering, works great
This works great! I hated hammering snaps in manually. I did a few practice ones with this tool on a scrap of canvas, and since then they've all come out perfect on my actual projects. I pinned the instructions it came with to the wall in front of my cutting table because even after installing dozens I get turned around lol.The little punch to make a clean hole is a nice touch. Didn't think I would use it, I had no problem using my awl, but I'm never going back now that I've done the punch! It's gentler on the fabric and always the right size.I have only installed snaps that came in the kit, haven't tried this with other brands' snaps, but it's a pretty simple mechanism.

Missing Components
Arrived with missing components, making the pliers useless. Only included the fabric base components, missing cap components

Very Easy to use - Don't squeeze too hard!
This is a very easy to use set with several options for colors. Unfortunately, the widely used "antique bronze" sort is not included but the black chrome makes up for that. The part to be aware of is the mechanical advantage these pliers have. On my first snap install, I squeezed moderately hard and the pin cut all the way through to the bottom, destroying the snap. So only squeeze lightly until you feel the first slightest resistance, that is the spot where it's fully crimped and ready to go.Easy to use with picture diagrams. No case, I just keep it all in the box it shipped in. These work with other sized snaps as well, I ordered some antique bronze which are about 1/8" smaller in diameter and this crimps them perfectly as well. The anvil for the top snap is large enough to handle any sized button, just be careful aligning it and double check before squeezing.
