For me I needed these to get into some shapes doing auto body work, and the shapes provided were fine. The width of the shaped "paddles" is exactly the width of long-board sandpaper. Which is perfect. Now here is the killer. they are made if some kind of rubber (silicone maybe?) that you cannot use adhesive backed sandpaper width. So if you have a roll of long-board adhesive backed sandpaper, It will not stick to the rubber shaped "paddle". Even after cleaning the shapes with alcohol, and other cleaners. This is unfortunate, it makes it (for me) virtually useless. Maybe I'll use them on some woodworking projects, but It will still be difficult.

This block kit is absolutely perfect for sanding and leveling the exterior of a motorcycle fuel tank prior to painting! The hardness of the material of the square blocks is fairly rigid yet the block is flexible allowing you to sand complex curves without digging into filler. The different thicknesses allow more contouring with the same rigidity. You can establish level with these blocks very efficiently and accurately using guide coat. The round ones have the same characteristics of the blocks doing perfect small inside tapers and curves. Like around the filler neck. Easier to work with than full rigid blocks because nothing on a motorcycle tank is perfectly flat. Following outside and inside curves in any direction is a breeze with these. Multi use. I was looking at these sold by the big name woodworking stores. As far as I can tell, this set matches in equivalency and is WAY cheaper than they are charging. I just sanded down some simple ogee moulding for a cabinet and they worked great.

well these flat blocks works fine, though the very small contoured blocks would be hard to form the sandpaper inside of its radius, flexible not rigid

These work great!I had a project that required three different grades of sand paper for wet sanding.I had a different pad for each grade instead of using one pad.It made the project easier and faster to do.

These things work great for sanding motorcycle parts, all different shapes to get into pretty much any area, glad I picked these up!
