A high current single pole, single throw switch (two terminals, one switch contact), rated at 100A, 12V for battery operated systems.The terminals are M6 and the cut-out for the switch is 29mm with flats of 27mm to prevent it rotating in its fixing. The front mounting is 45mm in diameter. I measured the resistance across the terminals and it is indeed lower than 100 milliohms, which is good for a high current set of contacts.The switch has 3 settings, OFF, ON and OUT. The last being a little confusing at first until you realise this is where you can take out the red cap and take it away, it simply pulls out, thus preventing the switch from being operated. This is a nice feature. My only concern though is that this exposes the plastic tabs in the red lid and they are quite small (3.5mm x 5mm), so if they break off once they get brittle, then you can't now turn on your switch, similarly, if you loose the cover, then you are also stuck.I couldn't see any listing on the vendors site of the cover being available separately, so if you are ordering, I suggest you order more than one, so you have a spare. It would be better if the switch came with a spare cap.Its possible that only one cap is provided as it can work as a lock-out, however if I was working on something and needed to lock out, I'd use a specific product designed for this specific safety feature.So, overall, a good switch, just be careful not to loose that cap.

I got this isolator to isolate the live supply to my new fuse board which I installed on my boat.The switch itself is rated at 100Amp and is nice and compact which makes a change from some much larger isolators.The switch function has a nice positive action from it, and from my own testing I can confirm that once the item is in the off position the device is off.The included lock ring makes installing this isolator onto a flat panel nice and easy and is secure once fitted.Terminals are of a nice size and should be adequate for cables up to the maximum rated capacity of the switch.Nice and clear lettering on the switch makes it easy to determine the on and off positions.

I had this free from Amazon in order to do an evaluation.This is a really robust switch with strong connections. It's a unique design, in that for security purposes, the red knob can be rotated then removed so that it cannot be switched on. There's a good "clunk" when turned on and off.Sadly I couldn't fit this switch ( to my solar/leisure battery pack) as the retaining ring to hold it into a mount was missing ( hence the 3 stars)A good switch, but at £14 a bit pricey!

I was suffering from a parasitic draw on my battery that meant that it constantly kept draining the power.After fitting this I am now able to disconnect the battery entirely and this has stopped the drain.An added benefit is that the red key can also be fully removed which provides an added security bonus if you are leaving your vehicle unattended for any period of time.Nice bit of kit.
